Answer:

Available options are;

A. validity; high

B. variability; low

C. reliability; low

D. reactivity; high

Answer is C. reliability; low

Explanation:

Normal body temperature is considered to be 37°C (98.6°F); however, a wide variation is seen. Among normal individuals, mean daily temperature can differ by 0.5°C (0.9°F), and daily variations can be as much as 0.25 to 0.5°C. So we can see that the 98 to 106 to 89 degrees shows that the thermometer is not reliable.

Answer:

Option C==> reliability; low.

Explanation:

Thermometers are instruments used in the measurement of temperature and there are various types of thermometers. Although, this does not happen all the time but sometimes when thermometers are not in good condition they give results that are not reliable such as the result Mike got in the question above. The body temperature of humans is 37°C when the person is in good condition and it may read 38°C or 39°C when someone not feeling okay and this is the number one thing that makes the thermometer unreliable.

The second is because the results of the temperature are not even precise.

If a cross country runner covers a distance of 347 meters in 134 seconds what is her average speed?
a_sh-v [17]
347÷134=2.589552239 meters per second

2.589552239×60= 155.3731343 meters per hour

155.3731343 meters per hour= 0.096544389701642 miles per hour

A convex mirror, like the passenger-side rearview mirror on a car, has a focal length of -3.0 m . An object is 6.0 m from the mi
Artist 52 [7]

A) -2.0 m

Look at the ray diagram attached in the picture, where:

p identifies the location of the object

q identifies the location of the image

F identifies the focus of the mirror

Each tick represents 1 m

We have

p = 6.0 m is the distance of the object from the mirror

f = -3.0 m is the focal length

From the ray diagram, we see that q has a distance of 2.0 m from the mirror, and it's on the other side of the mirror compared to the object, so

q = -2.0 m

This can also be verified by using the mirror equation:

\frac{1}{q}=\frac{1}{f}-\frac{1}{p}=\frac{1}{-3.0 m}-\frac{1}{6.0 m}=-\frac{3}{6.0 cm}\\q = \frac{-6.0 cm}{3}=-2.0 cm

B) Upright and virtual

As we see from the picture, the image is upright, since it has same orientation as the object.

Also, we notice that the image is on the other side of the mirror, compared to the object. For a mirror,

- An image is said to be real if it is on the same side of the object

- An image is said to be virtual if it is on the opposite side of the mirror

Therefore, this means that the image is virtual.

a runner covers the last straigjt stretch of a race in 4 s. during that time, he speeds up from 5m/s to 9m/s.
PtichkaEL [24]

During that final period of time,
his acceleration is
                                (9 m/s - 5 m/s) / (4 sec) = 1 m/s² .
