Her final displacement is 0.4 km North

Her total distance is  8.2 km

Explanation:

Given;

initial position, = 2.5 km north

then 4.3 km south

final position = 1.4 km north

let northward direction = positive direction

let southward direction = negative direction

The final displacement = 2.5 km North - 4.3 km South + 1.4 km North

The final displacement = -0.4 km North

Thus, the magnitude of the final displacement = 0.4 km North

In distance, the direction of the motion is not considered

The total distance = 2.5 km + 4.3 km + 1.4 km

The total distance = 8.2 km
