Barium chloride reacts with silver nitrate to form  a precipitate of silver chloride along with soluble solution of barium nitrate. The equation is as follows:

BaCl2(aq) + AgNO3(aq) → AgCl(s) + Ba(NO3)2(aq)

Lets balance the equation:

Reactants                                                    Products

# Ba atoms = 1                                       #Ba atoms = 1

# Cl atoms = 2                                       # Cl atoms = 1

# Ag atoms = 1                                      # Ag atoms = 1

# NO3- group = 1                                  # NO3- group = 2

Thus the balanced equation needs to be balanced w.r.t Cl and NO3-

BaCl2(aq) + 2AgNO3(aq) → 2AgCl(s) + Ba(NO3)2(aq)

How many molecules of water are there in 0.234 L of water
tankabanditka [31]

Answer:

7.82x10^24 molecules of water

Explanation:

H2O=18.015 g/mol   Avogadro's #=6.022x10^23 molecules

0.234L x 1000g/1L x 1 mol H2O/18.015 g x 6.022x10^23 = 7.82x10^23 molecules of water

Why is it difficult to accurately represent ammonia and methane on paper?
andrew-mc [135]

Answer:

The correct answer is because the molecular structure.

Explanation:

The difficulty of ammonia and methane to be represented on paper is due to the molecular structure. These compounds have a three-dimensional projection with defined angles. Ammonia presents angles of 109.5º between the atom of Nitrogen and those of Oxygen. The ammonia presents 107.8º between the oxygen atoms.

In the methane molecule, there is 109.5º between the hydrogen molecules and the carbon atom. This results in the need for a 3D representation of the molecule.

Which of the following is a correct lewis structure for sulfur dioxide, so2?
pshichka [43]

The correct Lewis structure of SO2 is the Lewis structure that shows all the 12 valence electrons in the molecule.

A Lewis structure shows the number of valence electrons on the valence shell of all the atoms in a compound. The electrons are shown as dots around the symbol of each element or a dash to indicate shared electrons in a covalent bond.

Looking at the Lewis structure of SO2 attached to this answer, we can see the twelve valence electrons in the molecule and how they are distributed around each atom as shown.

A sphere with radius 1 m has temperature 18°C. It lies inside a concentric sphere with radius 2 m and temperature 25°C. The temp
gladu [14]

Answer:

The expression will be T=7r

Explanation:

From equation S=dT/dr, we can solve this equation by integrating it and usig the values 25C and 18C for T and 2 and 1 for the radius. The solution to the integration will result in the value for S. For this example, it will be 7. Therefore, the main expression will be T= 7r in which the temperature is in fuction of the radius between the spheres.
