Answer:

The friend on moon is richer.

Explanation:

The value of acceleration due to gravity changes from planet to planet. So the weight of 1 Newton of gold carries different mass on different places. So we need to calculate the mass of gold that both persons have.

<u>FRIEND ON MOON</u>:

W₁ = m₁g₁

where,

W₁ = Weight of Gold won by friend on moon = 1 N

m₁ = mass of gold won by friend on moon = ?

g₁ = acceleration due to gravity on moon = 1.625 m/s²

Therefore,

1 N = m₁(1.625 m/s²)

m₁ = 0.62 kg

<u>ON EARTH</u>:

W₂ = m₂g₂

where,

W₂ = Weight of Gold won by me on Earth = 1 N

m₂ = mass of gold won by me on Earth = ?

g₂ = acceleration due to gravity on Earth = 9.8 m/s²

Therefore,

1 N = m₁(9.8 m/s²)

m₁ = 0.1 kg

Since, the friend on moon has greater mass of gold than me.

<u>Therefore, the friend on moon is richer.</u>

Degger [83]

Answer:

0.003181 radians

0.003005 radians

Explanation:

Number of slits = 140 /cm

λ = Wavelength = 434 nm = 434×10⁻⁹ m

m = 3 Third order spectrum

Space between slits

d=\frac{0.01}{140} =7.14\times 10^{-5}\ m

Now,

dsin\theta = m\lambda\\\Rightarrow \theta=sin^{-1}\left(\frac{m\lambda}{d}\right)\\\Rightarrow \theta=sin^{-1}\left(\frac{3\times 434\times 10^{-9}}{7.14\times 10^{-5}}\right)\\\Rightarrow \theta=sin^{-1}0.018228\\\Rightarrow \theta=0.01823^{\circ}=0.01823\times \frac{\pi}{180}=0.003181 radians

0.003181 radians

When λ = 410 nm = 410×10⁻⁹ m

dsin\theta = m\lambda\\\Rightarrow \theta=sin^{-1}\left(\frac{m\lambda}{d}\right)\\\Rightarrow \theta=sin^{-1}\left(\frac{3\times 410\times 10^{-9}}{7.14\times 10^{-5}}\right)\\\Rightarrow \theta=sin^{-1}0.01722\\\Rightarrow \theta=0.01722^{\circ}=0.01722\times \frac{\pi}{180}=0.003005 radians

0.003005 radians

Select all that apply.
vazorg [7]

Answer:

1. A solid can diffuse into a liquid, but a solid cannot diffuse into another solid.

3. A liquid can diffuse into another liquid.

4. A gas can diffuse into another gas.

Explanation:

When an object is in liquid or gas form, they can easily move and spread. This is because the molecules are packed loosely. Since they can move freely, diffusion on and into gas/liquid can be easily achieved.

Solid form can diffuse into liquid too. Seawater is mostly made of water and solid salt. But diffusing a solid into a solid is not possible since the molecule is tightly packed and barely moves. The diffusion might be happening, but at a really slow rate that we can assume it is not.

A metal ring 4.00 cm in diameter is placed between the north and south poles of large magnets with the plane of its area perpend
liq [111]

Answer:

a) 0.21N/C

b) counterclockwise

Explanation:

a) to find the magnitude of the electric field you can use the following formula:

\int Eds=-\frac{\Delta \Phi_B}{\Delta t}=-\frac{\Delta AB}{\Delta t}

A: area of the ring = pi*r^2

E: electric field

Ф_B: magnetic flux

In the line integral you can assume E as constant. Furthermore, you calculate the change in the magnetic flux by taking into account that the time interval is 1.12/0.21=5.33s. By replacing in the formula you obtain:

\frac{\Delta \Phi_B}{\Delta t}=\frac{A(B_f-B_i)}{5.33s}=\frac{\pi(0.04m)^2(1.12T)}{5.33}=1.056*10^{-3}W/s

E\int ds=E(2\pi r)=1.056*10^{-3}W/s\\\\E=\frac{1.056*10^{-3}W/s}{\pi(0.04m)^2}=0.21\frac{N}{C}

the magnitude if the induced electric field is 0.21N/C

b) By the Lenz's law you can conclude that the current has a direction in a counterclockwise
