So we want to know what is the magnitude of the horizontal component of acceleration ah if we know that the overall acceleration a=12 m/s^2 and the angle of overall acceleration and the horizontal acceleration is α=50°. We know that ah=a*cosα. So now it isn't hard to get the horizontal component: ah=12*cos50=12*0.64=7.71 m/s^2. So the correct answer is ah=7.71 m/s^2.

The train would need the greatest amount of force due to weight! If you think of it, a baseball won't need much force to stop it, but if you have a heavy train, it will need excessive force to stop the train. The answer would be #3

I hope this answer helps!

Sorry if it doesn't make sense, as I don't know that much about physics! I am just thinking of what makes sense.

A worker pushes horizontally on a 36.0 kg crate with a force of magnitude 112 N. The coefficient of static friction between the
Yuliya22 [10]

Answer:

value of fs,max under the circumstances is

f = 42.56 N

Explanation:

The formula is µ = f / N, where µ is the coefficient of friction, f is the amount of force that resists motion, and N is the normal force. Normal force is the force at which one surface is being pushed into another.

So f = µN

f = 0.380 * 112

f = 42.56 N
