Distribute through the parenthesis
subtract 5 from both sides
divide both sides by -1/3...or multiply both sides by -3

1) Distribute -1/3 through the parenthesis, it will look like this:
-1/3(x) - 15(-1/3) = -4

Simplify: -1/3x + 5 = -4

Multiply each term by 3 to eliminate the fraction: 3(-1/3x + 5 = -4)
Equals: -x + 15 = -12

Subtract 15 from both sides -x + 15 =-12
                                                 - 15    -15

Equals -x = -27
FINALLY multiply or divide by -1 to eliminate the negative "x"
(Basically changing the signs of all terms.)
x = 27.

A cell phone plan costs $23.70 per month for 700 minutes of talk time. It costs an additional $0.06 per minute for each minute o
laiz [17]

Answer:

2,541 minutes

Step-by-step explanation:

195.12 = .06m+23.7+ 0.8(23.7)

195.12 = 23.7 + 0.06m + (18.96)

195.12 = 42.66 + 0.06m

152.46 = 0.06m

2,541 = m

Polygon ABCD is a rectangle what is the area
Andre45 [30]

Solution:

As, You have Written Polygon ABCD is a rectangle.

It is a Four sided Polygon , having all it's interior angles equal to 90°.As well as Opposite sides are equal(AB=CD,AD=BC), equal diagonals(AC=B D).

Join any of the diagonal of Rectangle either AC or B D.

In Right Δ ABC , Right angled at B

{\text{Area (Right triangle ABC)}} =\frac{1}{2}\times AB \times BC---(1)

In Right  Δ ADC  , Right angled at D

{\text{Area (Right triangle ABC)}} =\frac{1}{2}\times AD \times DC---(2)

Adding (1) and (2) that is LHS to LHS and RHS to RHS

Ar( Δ ABC) +Ar( Δ ADC)=\frac{1}{2}\times[ AB \times BC+ AD \times DC]\\\\=\frac{1}{2}[2 \times AB \times BC][\text{As, AB=CD, and BC=AD}]\\\\ = AB \times BC

So, Area of Rectangle= Product of any two Adjacent Sides

7х + Зу = 8
Naddika [18.5K]
Explanation: the positive 3y and the negative 3y cancel each other out. Then you combine the x values which equals 13x=13
X=1 then plug the x back into the equation 7x+3y=8. X=1 and Y=1/3

I don't know the answer and I need it quick!!
Zielflug [23.3K]

Answer:

The first one. The single line

Step-by-step explanation:

I can explain later but since you need it quick I will send my answer now :3
Further explanation:

A function is only a function if there are two x values to a single y value.

You can use the "vertical line test" to find out if a function is a function or not.

The vertical line test is where you put a line vertically through the function.

If at any point along the vertical line the function touches the line more than once, then it is not a function.
