The medical coding requires a lot of understanding of (International Classification of Diseases, Tenth Revision, Clinical Modification) ICD-10-CM, and The Healthcare Common Procedure Coding System (HCPCS)  for using appropriate Diagnosis and procedure codes to indicate various conditions.

Main responsibility of a medical coder is to assign appropriate to a certain disease or procedure performed by a doctor as per rules and regulations of ICD-10 and HCPCS.

Freelance medical coders work online from sitting at their homes and providing services to doctors and clinics for appropriate medical coding of their patient's claims that have to be submitted to insurances for getting payments on behalf of patients.

Which term refers to the surgical removal of a baby from the uterus?
nikklg [1K]

Answer:

cesarean section

Explanation:

A Cesarean section (C-section) is the surgical removal of the baby so it can be delivered. The baby is taken out through the mother's abdomen, also known as uterus. In the United States, almost one in three women has their babies this way and in the UK, caesarean section deliveries have increased from 19.7% of births in 2000 to 26.2% in 2015. Note: Just like with any surgery, your body needs time to heal afterward. Expect to stay in the hospital for three to four days after your delivery (longer if there are complications), and give your body up to six weeks to fully heal.
