Y = x + 1....so we sub in x + 1 for y in the other equation

2x + y = 7
2x + x + 1 = 7 ....combine like terms
3x + 1 = 7....subtract 1 from both sides
3x = 7 - 1
3x = 6 ....divide both sides by 3
x = 6/3
x = 2

y = x + 1
y = 2 + 1
y = 3

so ur solution is : (2,3)

murzikaleks [220]

Answer:

x = -\frac{45}{15}

Step-by-step explanation:

We have the equation: 3 + \frac{3}{4} x = \frac{7}{10}

Move the constant (in this case the constant is 3) to the right side of the equation, changing its sign

\frac{3}{4} x = \frac{7}{10} - 3

Calculate the difference.

\frac{3}{4} x = -\frac{23}{10}

Divide.

(when dividing two fractions, you can change it to a multiplication problem by switching the numerator and denominator of the divisor.)

So, we get the equation -\frac{23}{10} x \frac{4}{3} which is -\frac{45}{15} .

I hope this helps!

Fynjy0 [20]

Answer:

Most everyday situations involving chance and likelihood are examples of simple probability.

Explanation:

The probability is the chance or likelihood of any event happening. In our everyday life, we unintentionally use the probability. For example, we say there is 70% chance that tomorrow will be rain, there is 50% chance that Brazil will win the world cup, there is less likelihood of he arriving today and soon. In all these concepts we are dealing with uncertainty and there is chance factor involved in all these examples. So in most everyday situations which involve chance and likelihood are actually examples of simple probability.

Haley solving this problem by combining like terms 3x +5x=10
GaryK [48]

Answer:

x = 5/4

Step-by-step explanation:

By combining like terms, you get 8x = 10.

Divide the 8 on both sides of the equation.

x = 10/8

This, however, can be simplified by dividing by 2. This ultimately gives us 5/4.

Please explain to me to have a better understsning. . .
dem82 [27]

For the first one:

m is the slope, or how much the line goes up compared to goes right.  In this case, the line goes up 40 every time it goes right 10.  We write this as a fraction so 40/10, which simplifies to 4.  Therefore the equation would be y = 4x.
