The magnetic quantum number <span>is one of four quantum numbers which are assigned to each electron in an atom to describe that electron's state.
</span>The magnetic quantum number (ml) can be any integer between -l<span> and +</span>l.
<span>Magnetic quantum number specify orientation of electrons in magnetic field and number of electron states (orbitals) in subshells.
<span>Magnetic quantum number (ml) specifies the orientation in space of an orbital of a given energy and shape . Magnetic quantum number divides the subshell into individual orbitals which hold the electrons, there are 2l+1 orbitals in each subshell.
</span></span>For 2s orbital electrons:
Principal quantum n = 2.
<span>Angular quantum number l = 0.
</span>Magnetic quantum number ml = 0.

How many copper atoms are in 70g of copper
Elanso [62]

Answer:

n = 6.634\times 10^{23}\,atoms

Explanation:

The total amount of atoms is found by multiplying Avogradro's Number and the number of moles:

n = \left(6.022\times 10^{23}\,\frac{atoms}{mol} \right)\cdot \left(\frac{70\,g}{63.546\,\frac{g}{mol} } \right)

n = 6.634\times 10^{23}\,atoms

How does the neutron number in each compare
tester [92]

Answer:

Neutrons are all identical to each other, just as protons are. Atoms of a particular element must have the same number of protons but can have different numbers of neutrons.

Explanation:

Since the vast majority of an atom's mass is found its protons and neutrons, subtracting the number of protons (i.e. the atomic number) from the atomic mass will give you the calculated number of neutrons in the atom. In our example, this is: 14 (atomic mass) – 6 (number of protons) = 8 (number of neutrons).
