The constant pressure molar heat capacity, C_{p,m}C p,m  , of nitrogen gas, N_2N 2  , is 29.125\text{ J K}^{-1}\text{ mol}^{-1

}29.125 J K −1 mol −1 at 298\text{ K}298 K. Calculate the change in the internal energy when 20\text{ mol}20 mol of nitrogen gas at 298\text{ K}298 K is heated so that its temperature increases by 15.0^{\circ}\text{C}15.0 ∘ C. You may assume constant heat capacity over the temperature range.

Answer:

Explanation:

Constant pressure molar heat capacity Cp = 29.125 J /K.mol

If Cv be constant volume molar heat capacity

Cp - Cv = R

Cv = Cp - R

= 29.125 - 8.314 J

= 20.811 J

change in internal energy = n x Cv x Δ T

n is number of moles , Cv is molar heat capacity at constant volume ,  Δ T is change in temperature

Putting the values

= 20 x 20.811 x 15

= 6243.3 J.

How many energy levels do the electrons occupy for a neutral Oxygen atom? *
Sophie [7]

Answer:

The neutral state of an atom is when it's net charge is zero; that is, the number of protons equals the numbers of electrons. Oxygen is the eighth element in the periodic table, with the symbol O. This means that it has eight electrons in its neutral state. Since it is neutral, it also has eight protons!

How could you group pennies,nickels, and dimes together
julsineya [31]

There isn't a direct answer to this, but I can show you!

This is how you group Pennies, Nickels, and Dimes.

1 Penny= 1 cent.

1 Nickel= 5 cents.

1 Dime= 10 cents.

Imagine if there was 5 pennies, 3 dimes, and 8 Nickels.

That might seem like a lot of numbers, but it's pretty simple!

You know how pennies are worth 1 cent? If we had 5 pennies, that would be 5 cents.

1+1+1+1+1=5 cents.

Then, we have 3 dimes. Dimes are each 10 cents.

So, 10x3 (If you know multiplication,  if not, you will learn it later) :)

10+10+10=  30 cents.

Now, nickels. We have 8 nickels! Remember, each nickel is 5 cents.

5+5+5+5+5+5+5+5=

40 Nickels.

Now add all of the coins up.

5 cents + 30 cents + 40 cents = 75 cents!

I hope this helped! If you need more help, you can ask me. :)

A student walks (2.9±0.1)m, stops and then walks another (3.9 ±0.2)m in the same directionWith the given uncertainties, what is
Anika [276]

Answer:

The smallest distance the student that the student could be possibly be from the starting point is 6.5 meters.

Explanation:

For 2 quantities A and B represented as

A\pm \Delta A and B\pm \Delta B

The sum is represented as

Sum=(A+B)\pm (\Delta A+\Delta B)

For the the values given to us the sum is calculated as

Sum=(2.9+3.9)\pm (0.1+0.2)

Sum=6.8\pm 0.3

Now the since the uncertainity inthe sum is \pm 0.3

The closest possible distance at which the student can be is obtained by taking the negative sign in the uncertainity

Thus closest distance equals 6.8-0.3=6.5meters

Boy pulls a 5.0-kg sled with a rope that makes a 60.0° angle with respect to the horizontal surface of a frozen pond. The boy pu
kykrilka [37]

Answer:

0.1

Explanation:

mass, m = 5 kg

θ = 60°

Force, F = 10 N

velocity is constant , it means the net force is zero.

So, the component of force along the surface is equal to the friction force

FCosθ = friction force

10 x cos 60 = μ x m x g

where, μ is the coefficient of friction

5 = μ x 5 x 9.8

μ = 0.1

Thus, the coefficient of friction is 0.1
