How do simple machines make work easier? A. They add energy to the work. B. They change the strength or direction of a force. C.
Anton [14]
Out of the choices provided I would choose B, this is because A is wrong due to simple machines making our work easier and require less energy, C is wrong due to the work actually being done faster due to simple machines. Now D and B felt like they were both correct but  D just doesn't make much since when you apply it to the topic of Simple machines so I found B.

an object was accelerated with a force of 150 N from rest to a velocity of 10m/s in 5 sec. the force of friction opposing the ob
astra-53 [7]

Force = (mass) x (acceleration)

Mass  =  (force) / (acceleration)

There was 150N of force in one direction and 100N of 'force' in
the other direction.  The net force on  the object was (150 - 100) = 50N .

Acceleration = (change in speed) / (time for the change)
                     = (10 m/s) / (5s)  =  2 m/s²

Mass = (net force) / (acceleration) = (50 N) / (2 m/s²) = 25 kilograms

A home uses ten 100-watt lightbulbs for five hours per day. Approximately how many kilowatt-hours of electrical energy are consu
timurjin [86]

The electrical energy consumed in one year by using the light bulbs is 8,760 kWh.

The given parameters:

  • Number of light bulbs = 10
  • Power consumed by each bulb = 100 W
  • Time of energy consumption, t = 1 year

<h3>What is electrical energy?</h3>

This is the electric power consumed or dissipated at a given period of time.

The  electrical energy consumed in one year by using the light bulbs is calculated as

E = Pt

E = (100 \times 10) \times (1 \ yr \times \frac{8760 \ hrs}{1 \ yr} )= 8,760,000 \ W att-hours\\\\&#10;E = \frac{8,760,000 }{1000} = 8,760 \ kWh

Thus, the electrical energy consumed in one year by using the light bulbs is 8,760 kWh.
