Answer:

Impulse = 48 kg m/s

Gain in momentum = 48 kg m/s

Explanation:

Force (F) = 6N

Time (t) = 8

Mass (m) = 3 kg

Final velocity (v) = ?

Initial velocity (u) = 0 m/s

First, find acceleration

F = m * a

a = F / m

a = 6 / 3

a = 2 m/s^2

Now, find final velocity

v = u + a * t

v = 0 + 2 * 8

v = 16 m/s

Now, find impulse

Impulse = change in momentum

Impulse = final momentum - initial momentum

Impulse = m * v - m * u

Impulse = m ( v - u )

Impulse = 3 ( 16 - 0 )

Impulse = 48 kg m/s

Here, gain in momentum is same as impulse.

How does the lever arm change if you decrease the angle of the force?
Vladimir79 [104]

Answer:

The lever arm could decrease or increase depending of the initial angle.

Explanation:

The lever arm d is calculated by:

d = rsin(θ)

where r is the radius and θ the angle between the force and the radius.

So, the increse or decrees of d depends of the sin of the angle θ, if the initial angle is greather than 90° and the angle decrease to an angle closer to 90°, the lever arm will increase but if the initial angle is 90° or lower and the angle decrease, the lever arm will decrease.

A wire is wrapped around a piece of iron, and then electricity is run through the wire. What happens to the iron?
katrin [286]
Search Results<span>By simply wrapping wire that has an electrical current running through it around a nail, you can make an electromagnet. When the electric current moves through a wire, it makes a magnetic field. ... You can make a temporary magnet by stroking apiece of iron or steel (such as a needle) along with a permanent magnet.

Nancys airplane trip took 4 hour. For one-fourth of that time, the airplane flew at a speed of 880 km/h, it flew at a speed of 6
9966 [12]
So for a minute lets ignore the 880 km/h. If it took 4 hours and she flew at 600 km/h 600*4=2400. Now lets Look at the 880 bit. If it took 4 hours and she where to fly at 880 it would've been 880*4=3520. Lets do 2400-600=1800, now we've got the 600 kmh bit done. Now lets see if you fly 880 km/h for one hour then you add 1800+880=2680.

One isotope of bromine has an atomic mass of 78.92amu and a relative abundance of 50.69%. The other major isotope of bromine has
castortr0y [4]

Answer:

The average atomic mass is 79.91 amu.

Explanation:

Since

Atomic mass can be find by Multiplying the relative abundance of each isotope by its atomic mass, then add them together to get the atomic mass of the element.

so

Atomic  mass = (0.5069)(78.92 amu) + (0.4931)(80.92 amu)

                       =79.91 amu

So the Atomic mass of the  bromine is 79.91amu.
