A storm 10.0 km in diameter has wind speeds of 10.0 m/s. What is its angular velocity in radians per second
Aloiza [94]

Answer:

The value is w= 2*10^{-3} \  rad/s

Explanation:

From the question we are told that

  The diameter of the storm is  d =  10.0 \  km  =  10 000 \  m

   The wind speed is  v  =  10.0 \  m/s

Generally the radius is mathematically represented as

       r =  \frac{d}{2}

=>  r =  \frac{10000}{2}

=>    r =  5000 \ m

Generally the angular velocity is mathematically represented as

        w= \frac{v}{r}

=>     w= \frac{10}{5000}

=>     w= 2*10^{-3} \  rad/s

When you lift a book from the ground to your desk, what kind of work do you do negative or positive by lifting the book what do
skelet666 [1.2K]
It would be kinetic energy. Let's say the book is weighs 10 Newtons you need to use a force of 10 Newtons to lift the book. In other words it's positive. As you move the book you're giving it energy. Namely potential energy which will turn to kinetic energy if you let it go. So you're changing it's position and energy.

What two types of scientific knowledge can be expressed as mathematical equations? (Please don't tell me the answer could you pl
gtnhenbr [62]
An example would be 2 types of motion. It could be rectilinear or projectile motion. There are various equations for each type. Since you don't want me to tell you the answer, I could just express it in words. Then, it will be up to you to translate into mathematical equations.

For rectilinear motion, the distance traveled is equal to the initial velocity times the time, plus one-half of the acceleration times the square of the time. For projectile motion, the maximum distance is equal to the square of the initial velocity multiplied with the square of the sine of the launch angle, all over twice the gravity.

If potential energy at point A is 12 joules, what is the potential energy at D?
Irina-Kira [14]

Answer:

In D: 3J

Explanation:

Potential energy: Ep=mgh where m is the mass, h altitude.

In point A: h=20cm=0.2m

Epa=12=0.2×mg. Thus mg=12/0.2=60N

For point D: hd=5cm=0.05m

Epd=mg×0.05=60×0.05=3J
