Rhyolite and Andesite are examples of an extrusive igneous rock.

Further Explanations:

Igneous rock also termed as magmatic and among one of the three types of rocks formed by the freezing and solidification of rocks are rocks formed partial melts of the planets mantle or crust. The process of formation of the igneous rocks would have occurred either by the increase in temperature or by decreases in pressure or by the change in configuration of the soil. These processes occur either on the surface of extrusive rocks or below the intrusive rocks and can form layer covering upto16 km of Earth’s crust volume.

As mentioned above that the extrusive rocks are formed by the deposition of the flow out magma from inside the Earth violently on the surface of the Earth. These extorted magma cools down more quickly on lad than in seawater and within a short time interval led to the formation of Crystals. Rhyolite and Andesite are examples of such igneous rocks.

When energy is added to a substance at constant volume and pressure, its temperature increases except ________.
Travka [436]

A. When the substance is in its gaseous state.

Explanation:

When a substance is expanding against its constant volume and pressure, its temperature increases except when the substance is in gaseous state and not in liquid or solid state. So the internal energy increase in the system not only increases and maintaining the volume and pressure of the system remains constant in its gaseous phase. In the first law of Thermodynamics, it is used specifically that to especially in the case of gaseous system.

The wax in a burning candle can be described by both physical and chemical properties. What are the physical properties of the w
dimaraw [331]

Answer:

The change of state of wax from solid to liquid and liquid to vapors is a physical change.

Explanation:

Physical Change

The changes that occur only due to change in shape or form but their chemical or internal composition remain unchanged.

These changes were reversible.

They have same chemical property.

These changes can be observed with naked eye.

Chemical:

The changes, that occur due to change in the composition of a substance and result in a different compound is known as chemical change.

These changes are irreversible .

These changes occur due to chemical reactions.

These may not be observed with naked eye

Example

When a candle is burned, the both physical and chemical changes occur.

The solid wax is melted into the liquid and than liquid is evaporated into vapor form. It is a physical change because just the state of mater is changed. When vapors of wax are react with oxygen in air and form carbon dioxide and ash it is a chemical change which can not be reversed.
