The medicinal thermometer commonly used in homes can be read to ±0.1°F, whereas those in the doctor's office may be accurate t

o ±0.1°C. Percent error is often expressed as the absolute value of the difference between the true value and the experimental value, divided by the true value: Percent Error= [|true value - Experimental value|/true value]x 100%. The vertical lines indicate absolute value. In degrees Celsius, express the percent error expected from each of these thermometers in measuring a person's body temperature of 38.9°C.

Answer:

the percent error expected from each of theses person's body:

in homes:

% E = 0.14267 %

in doctor's office:

% E = 0.257 %

Explanation:

  • ° C = ( ° F - 32 ) * (5/9)
  • % E = ( | true - exp | / true ) * 100
  • body temp = 38.9 ° C = 102.02 ° F

thermometer used in homes:

⇒ T = 102.02 ° F  +/- 0.1 ° F = 102.12 ° F ∧  101,92 ° F

⇒ T = 102.12 ° F  = 38.9555 ° C

⇒ % E = ( | 38.9 - 38.9555 | ) / 38.9 ) * 100 = 0.14267 %

in the doctor's oficce:

⇒ T = 38.9 ° C  +/- 0.1 ° C = 39 ° C ∧ 38.8 ° C

⇒ % E = (( | 39 - 38.9 | ) / 38.9 ) * 100 = 0.257 %

How does a purebred individual differ from a hybrid individual?
zimovet [89]
Im gonna go based on the content of their blood. So as the generation continues, a purebred's blood has not differentiated too much and contains 98-100% of a "pure" bloodline meaning no outsiders of where this purebred originated has mixed. A hybrid is where the original bloodline is mixed with many others, so while a purebred has 99% of the original bloodline and the hybrid has 50% and he other half belongs to an entirely different line.

The density of silver is 10.5 g/cm3. what would be the mass (in grams) of a piece of silver that occupies a volume of 23.6 cm3?
Keith_Richards [23]
Hey there : !

density = 10.5 g/cm³

volume = 23.6 cm³

therefore:

D = m / V

10.5 = m / 23.6

m = 10.5 * 23.6

m = 247.8 g

hope this helps!

Which planet would an objects weight be the greatest
aleksley [76]

Explanation:

Jupiter is the largest planet in our Solar System with the most mass. Because of Jupiter's mass, you would weigh more on that planet than on any other one in our Solar System. If you weighed 68 kg on Earth then you would weigh 160.7 kg on Jupiter, over twice your normal weight.
