Many carb up before running as its important to have sugars fuel you for a day of perspiring and harsh exercise. Without eating you would run out of energy much quicker and be unable to preform with the same amount of energy you would have with fuel.

Because your body uses the energy from the food to do certain activity if you do not play sports or exercise after eating your body will just put that food to waste and turn it into fat.

Can you please help me with these physics displacement questions? If you can only do one, that is okay
Brut [27]

#3).  Your drawing in the lower right corner is correct.  You're headed down the right road, but ran out of gas and just stopped.

Radius of the circle = 1.5 km

Circumference of the whole circle = (2·π·radius) = 9.42 km

Distance = 3/4 of the way around it = 7.07 km .

Displacement = the straight line from the West point to the North point.  The straight-line length is 2.12 km; the straight-line direction from start to finish is Northeast (45°).  I'll let you figure out why these numbers.

#4).  What if you walk 1 mile East and then 1 mile West ?  You got a good workout, and you're back home where you started !  Your distance is 2 miles, and your displacement is zero.

The whale had a good workout too.  She swam (6.9 + 1.8 + 3.7) = 12.4 km.  She's sweating and tired.  Her total distance during that workout is 12.4 km.

Her displacement is the line from start-point to end-point.  How she got there doesn't matter, so swimming 1 km East and then swimming 1 km West cancel out, and have no effect on the displacement.

(6.9E + 1.8W + 3.7E)  =  (10.6 E) + (1.8 W) . . . That adds up to  8.8 East !  That's where she ends up.  That's her displacement ... 8.8 km East of where she started.  Since we're only talking about displacement, we don't care HOW she got there.  She might have been swimming big 20-km circles all day.  We don't know.  All we know is that she ended up 8.8 km East of where she started.

Suppose you push horizontally with precisely enough force to make the block start to move, and you continue to apply the same am
Tcecarenko [31]

Answer:

Incomplete question,

This is the complete question

Suppose you push horizontally with precisely enough force to make the block start to move, and you continue to apply the same amount of force even after it starts moving. Find the acceleration ~a of the block after it begins to move. Express your answer in terms of some or all of the variables µs, µk, and m, as well as the acceleration due to gravity g.

Explanation:

Let the force that make the object to start moving be F,

Frictional force is opposing the motion, the body has to overcome two frictional forces acting in the opposite direction of the motion.

Also, weight and normal reaction are acting in vertical direction, the weight is acting downward while the reaction is acting upward.

Weight of the object is given as

W=mg

Analyzing the vertical motion i.e y-axis.

ΣF = ma

since the body is not moving upward, the a=0

N-W=0

Then, N=W

So, N=mg

So, from friction law

Fr=µN

For static

Fs=µsN

For kinetic or dynamic

Fk= µkN

Using newton law

Along x-axis

Before the body start moving we can get the Force and since the force is the same use to start the block in motion.

Then,

ΣF = ma

Since at static the body is not moving then, a=0

F-Fs=0

F=Fs

Since, Fs=µsN

F=Fs=µsN

Then, the force to keep the body in motion too is F=µsN

Now analyses when the body is in motion

ΣF = ma

F-Fk=ma

ma=F - Fk

Substituting F=µsN and Fk=µkN

ma=µsN - µkN

ma=N(µs - µk)

Since N=mg

Then, ma=mg(µs - µk)

m cancels out, then

a=g(µs - µk)

Then the acceleration of the body is given as "a=g(µs - µk)"

The atom in the diagram has a neutral charge how many protons does it have
Olegator [25]

Explanation:

This should be of help:

An atom is made up of three subatomic particles:

  • Protons are the positively charged particles.
  • Electrons are the negatively charged particles.
  • Neutrons do not carry any charges.

A neutral atom is an atom that has not lost or gained any amount of electrons.

In a neutral atom;

                the number of protons and electrons are the same

 Usually atoms are designated this way:

                                                  ᵃₙX

  where X is the symbol of the atom

               a is the mass number of the atom

                n is the atomic number of the atom

 The mass number = number of protons + number of neutrons

        Atomic number = number of protons

Note; atomic number is the same as the number protons and the number of electrons in a neutral atom.

Assume that, when we walk, in addition to a fluctuating vertical force, we exert a periodic lateral force of amplitude 25 NN at
dexar [7]

Complete Question

The complete question is shown on the first uploaded image

Answer:

Explanation:

From the question we are told

   The amplitude of the lateral  force is  F = 25 \  N

   The frequency is   f = 1 \  Hz

   The mass of the bridge per unit length is  \mu = 2000 \ kg /m

    The length of the central span is  d = 144 m

     The oscillation amplitude of the section  considered at the time considered is  A = 75 \ mm = 0.075 \ m

      The time taken for the undriven oscillation to decay to \frac{1}{e}  of its original value is  t = 6T

Generally the mass of the section considered is mathematically represented as

            m =  \mu  *  d

=>        m =  2000 * 144

=>        m =  288000 \ kg

Generally the oscillation amplitude of the section after a  time period  t is mathematically represented as

                 A(t) = A_o e^{-\frac{bt}{2m} }

Here b is the damping constant and the A_o is the amplitude of the section when it was undriven

So from the question

               \frac{A_o}{e}  = A_o e^{-\frac{b6T}{2m} }

=>            \frac{1}{e}  =e^{-\frac{b6T}{2m} }

=>          e^{-1} =e^{-\frac{b6T}{2m} }

=>           -\frac{3T b}{m}  =  -1

=>         b  = \frac{m}{3T}

Generally the amplitude of the section considered is mathematically represented as

           A =  \frac{n * F }{ b *  2 \pi }

=>       A =  \frac{n * F }{ \frac{m}{3T}  *  2 \pi }

=>       n =  A  *  \frac{m}{3}  *  \frac{2\pi}{25}

=>       n = 0.075 *  \frac{288000}{3}  *  \frac{2* 3.142 }{25}

=>       n = 1810 \ people

A point charge q1 = 4.50 nC is located on the x-axis at x = 1.95 m , and a second point charge q2 = -6.80 nC is on the y-axis at
Vinvika [58]

Answer:

Explanation:

One charge is situated at x = 1.95 m . Second charge is situated at y = 1.00 m

These two charges are situated outside sphere as it has radius of .365 m with center at origin. So charge inside sphere = zero.

Applying Gauss's theorem

Flux through spherical surface = charge inside sphere / ε₀

= 0 / ε₀

= 0 Ans .
