Answer:

A simple displacement reaction occurs when an iron nail is immersed to a beaker containing copper sulphate solution.

a)

Iron is more reactive than copper. As a result a displacement reaction will take place. The ferrous or Fe (II) irons will move to the solution. The copper ions (Cu II) will get deposited on the nail. This will cause the colour to change from blue to green.

b)

The equation can be written as:

Fe (s) + CuSO4 (aq) -> FeSO4 (aq) + Cu (s)

c)

A chemical change can be described as a change that causes a substance to change to another form. Hence, this reaction is a chemical change.

Answer: try to understand coz the question is not valid

Explanation: Explain the relationship between forward and reverse reactions at equilibrium and predict how changing the amount of a reactant or product (creating a stress) will affect that relationship. For example (select one from each underlined section)If the amount of (reactant or product) increases, the rate of the (forward or reverse)reaction will (increase or decrease)to reach a new equilibrium. If the amount of (reactant or product) decreases, the rate of the (forward or reverse)reaction will (increase or decrease)to reach a new equilibrium. Which atom in the ground state has a partially filled second electron shell?
serious [3.7K]
Atoms have electrons filled in energy shells.
1. H - hydrogen atom has one electron in the First energy shell. Therefore hydrogen has a partially filled first energy shell

2.Li - Li electron configuration is 2,1
The outermost energy shell is the second energy shell in which there is only one electron
Therefore the second energy shell is partially filled. This is the correct answer

3. K - electron configuration is 2,8,8,1
The outermost energy shell is the fourth energy shell which is partially filled. The second energy shell is completely filled

4.Na - electron configuration is 2,8,1
The outermost energy shell is the third energy shell which is partially filled
Second energy shell is completely filled

From the given options Li is the only element with a partially filled second energy shell
Answer is Li
