Answer: 0.185 L

Explanation:

Combined gas law is the combination of Boyle's law, Charles's law and Gay-Lussac's law.

The combined gas equation is,

\frac{P_1V_1}{T_1}=\frac{P_2V_2}{T_2}

where,

P_1 = initial pressure of gas = 0.98 atm

P_2 = final pressure of gas = 1 atm  (at STP)

V_1 = initial volume of gas = 0.165 L

V_2 = final volume of gas = ?

T_1 = initial temperature of gas = -34.0^oC=273-34.0=239.0K

T_2 = final temperature of gas = 273K  (at STP)

Now put all the given values in the above equation, we get:

\frac{0.98\times 0.165}{239}=\frac{1\times V_2}{273}

V_2=0.185l

Thus the volume of this gas at STP be 0.185 L

Determine the hydronium ion concentration in a solution that is 0.0005 m hcl. answer in units of m.
erma4kov [3.2K]
H₃O ions are when water is protonated
H₂O + H⁺ --> H₃O⁺
HCl is a strong acid therefore complete ionisation takes place.
HCl ---> H⁺ + Cl⁻
1 mol of HCl dissociates to give out 1 mol of H⁺
since H⁺ together with water forms H₃O⁺ ions,
[HCl] = [H₃O⁺]
therefore concentration of [H₃O⁺] is 0.0005 M

The geometry is called pentagonal bipyramidal. This has a lot of similarities to a 6-coordinate molecule except there are 5 doma
Studentka2010 [4]

Solution :

A pentagonal bipyramidal is a bond structure where the bond angle that surrounds an atom is not identical. Different bond angles are different. It has one central atom having seven ligands at the corners of the pentagonal bipyramidal.

a). The shape of the molecule that have 7 bonding domains is called the pentagonal bipyramidal. For example take the case of $IF_7$.

The structure of the molecule is attached below.

b). The bond angles that can be possible between all the adjacent atoms are 72 degrees and 90 degrees.

c). The lone pair is represented by E and the 6 bonding domains, the geometry is the pentagonal pyramidal, that is in the case of $\text{XeOF}^-$.

d). With two lone pairs, which is represented by E and as many as 5 bonding domains, the geometry is described as pentagonal planar. For example, $\text{XeF}^-_5$
