Answer:

Explanation:

R² = F₁² + F₂² + 2F₁F₂ Cosθ , R is resultant force , θ is angle between them

780² = 390² + 550² + 2 x 390 x 550 Cosθ

608400 = 152100 + 302500 + 429000  Cosθ

Cosθ =  .3585

θ  = 69 degree.

<u>Instant Velocity </u>

Given the position as a function of time x(t), the instant velocity is the derivative of the function:

v(t)=x'(t)

We are given the position as

x(t)=-2.3t^3+1.5t^2+9

The derivative of x is

v(t)=x'(t)=-6.9t^2+3.0t

A) Let's compute v(0)

v(0)=-6.9(0)^2+3.0(0)=0

B)

v(1)=-6.9(1)^2+3.0(1)

v(1)=-3.9\ m/s

C)

v(2)=-6.9(2)^2+3.0(2)

v(2)=-21.6\ m/s

D)

v(3)=-6.9(3)^2+3.0(3)

v(3)=-53.1\ m/s

PLEASE HELP!! Newtons first law states that if an objects velocity is changing a __________ must be acting on it. Question 1 opt
Anika [276]

Newtons first law states that if an objects velocity is changing a <u>force</u> must be acting on it.

Explanation:

Newton's first law of motion states that:

"An object at rest (or in uniform motion) will remain at rest (or will continue moving with the same velocity) unless acted upon an unbalanced force"

We can apply this law to a daily life example:

  • Take a book at rest on a table: the forces acting on the book are balanced. If we do not apply any other force, we know that the book will remain at rest: this is exactly what is summarized in Newton's first law.
  • Take a space probe moving in the interstellar space, very far from any planet or source of gravitational force. Since there are no forces acting on the proble, the probe will continue moving at the same velocity (same speed and same direction) forever, unless stopped by a new force acting on it.

This means that in order to put an object at rest in motion, or to stop an object already in motion, or to change its velocity, an unbalanced force needs to be applied: otherwise, the object will continue having the same velocity (which can be either zero or non-zero), so it will continue having  same speed and same direction.

Two workers are sliding 290 kg crate across the floor. One worker pushes forward on the crate with a force of 430 N while the ot
frozen [14]

Answer:

0.285

Explanation:

Given two forces of different magnitude, it is important to note that the product of normal force and coefficient of kinetic friction should be equal to the sum of these two forces at equilibrium. Therefore, this can be Mathematically expressed as:

N/\mu_k=F_1+F_2\\\\

where N is normal force,\mu is coefficient of static friction, F is force and subscripts 1 and 2 represent larger and smaller magnitude forces respectively.  Making \mu the subject of the formula then

\mu_k=\frac{F_1+F_2}{N}

Since normal force N is also given by mg where m is mass of object and g is acceleration due to gravity then substituting N with mg we obtain that

\mu_k=\frac{F_1+F_2}{mg}  and substituting the figures given in the question, taking g as 9.81 we obtain that

\mu_k=\frac { 430 N+380 N}{290\times 9.81}=0.285

Hence,the coefficient of kinetic energy is 0.285 as calculated

Microwaves are one of the lowest energies on the electromagnetic spectrum. While X-Rays are one of the highest energies on the electromagnetic spectrum. One similarity is that they are both on the electromagnetic spectrum. Also they both travel at the spped of light in a vacuum. One way they are different is They have different frequencies and wavelengths. Also they are used for different studies.

Calculate the phase angle (in radians) for a circuit with a maximum voltage of 12 V and w-50 Hz. The voltage source is connected
Vinvika [58]

Answer:

The phase angle is 0.0180 rad.

(c) is correct option.

Explanation:

Given that,

Voltage = 12 V

Angular velocity = 50 Hz

Capacitance C= 20\times10^{-2}\ F

Inductance L=20\times10^{-3}\ H

Resistance R=  50\ Omega

We need to calculate the impedance

Using formula of impedance

z=\sqrt{R^2+(\omega L-\dfrac{1}{\omega C})^2}

z=\sqrt{50^2+(50\times20\times10^{-3}-\dfrac{1}{50\times20\times10^{-2}})^2}

z=50.00

We need to calculate the phase angle

Using formula of phase angle

\theta=\cos^{-1}(\dfrac{R}{z})

\theta=\cos^{-1}(\dfrac{50}{50.00})

\theta=0.0180\ rad

Hence, The phase angle is 0.0180 rad.
