A wave traveling in a string in the positive x direction has a wavelength of 35 cm, an amplitude of 8.4 cm, and a period of 1.2

s. what is the wave equation (in base si units) that correctly describes this wave? a wave traveling in a string in the positive x direction has a wavelength of 35 cm, an amplitude of 8.4 cm, and a period of 1.2 s. what is the wave equation (in base si units) that correctly describes this wave? y(x,t)=0.084 sin(18x−5.2t) y(x,t)=0.084 sin(0.35x+1.2t) y(x,t)=0.084 sin(2.9x−0.83t) y(x,t)=0.084 sin(18x+5.2t) y(x,t)=0.084 sin(0.35x−1.2t)

The correct answer is
<span>y(x,t)=0.084 sin(18x-5.2t)
Let's see why.

For a wave travelling in the positive x-direction, the wave equation can be written as
</span>y(x,t) =A \sin (kx-\omega t)
<span>where
A is the amplitude
</span>k= \frac{2 \pi}{\lambda} is the wave number
\omega =  \frac{2 \pi}{T} is the angular frequency
<span>
The wave in our problem has an amplitude of
</span>A=8.4 cm = 0.084 m
<span>A wave number of (the wavelength is </span>\lambda=35 cm = 0.35 m )
k= \frac{2 \pi}{\lambda}= \frac{2 \pi}{0.35 m}= 18 m^{-1}
and an angular frequency of (the period is T=1.2 s)
\omega =  \frac{2 \pi}{T}= \frac{2 \pi}{1.2 s}=5.2 s^{-1}

So, if we put this numbers into the equation, we find (in SI units):
y(x,t)=(0.084) \sin (18 x - 5.2 t)

A 25.0-kg child is standing at the edge of a horizontal merry-go-round with a radius of 2.40 m and a moment of inertia of 356 kg
motikmotik

Answer:

\omega_{f}=1.634\ rad/s

Explanation:

given,

diameter of merry - go - round = 2.40 m

moment of inertia = I = 356 kg∙m²

speed of the merry- go-round = 1.80 rad/s

mass of child = 25 kg

initial angular momentum of the system

L_i = I\omega_i

L_i =356\times 1.80

L_i =640.8\ kg.m^2/s

final angular momentum of the system

L_f = (I_{disk}+mR^2)\omega_{f}

L_f = (356 + 25\times 1.2^2)\omega_{f}

L_f= (392)\omega_{f}

from conservation of angular momentum

L_i = L_f

640.8= (392)\omega_{f}

\omega_{f}=1.634\ rad/s

Answer:

a)water is turning into ice it is changing it's state from liquid to solid

b)B to C  ice is melting and it  is changing  it's state from solid to liquid

C to D water is boiling and it is changing it's state from liquid to vapours(steam)

c) temperature

At A 0

At B 0

At C 100

At D 100

Explanation: The temperature will remain 0 degrees Celsius until all the ice becomes water and the temperature will remain 100 degrees Celsius until all the  water changes into steam.

When an MRI machine are use to capturing images of a person's body the produce extremely powerful magnetic fields what might be
aliina [53]

Answer:

Technique to reduce Noise, magnetic attraction and Twitching sensation

Explanation:

Changing magnetic fields cause loud knocking noise this can be overcome by ear protection.

Strong and Static magnetic fields attract magnetic objects that can be avoided by screening of people and objects before entering in that area.

Twitching Sensation due to nerve stimulation can be avoided by reducing the exposure to magnetic field.

Please mark branliest if you are satisfied with the answer. Thanking you in anticipation.
