Find the height of the triangle. hypotenuse=10, right angle, opposite angle=20º

Mathematics

here if 20 degree angle is in base line then we would take sin of 20

because sin theta = height / hupotaneous

sin 20 = height/ 10

height = 10 times sin 20 = 10 times *0.34 = 3.4

But if angle 20 in on the line making height of the triangle then the base line of angle 20 degree would be the height of triangle )

we would take : cos 20 =base / hypotaneous

cos 20 = base / hypotaneous

cos 20 = base / 10

base = 10 cos 20 = 10 * 0.93 = 9.3

As per the given question if 20 degree angle lie on horizontal line answer should be 3.4

OR if angle 20 degree lie on vertical line then answer is 9.3

The base of a solid is the region between the curve yequals3 cosine x and the x-axis from xequals0 to x equals StartFraction pi
xz_007 [3.2K]

Answer:

A=3(π/2)-1 au

Step-by-step explanation:

we have according to the graph that

f(x)=3

g(x)=cos(x)

Knowing A=∫|f(x)-g(x)|dx, then

A=\int\limits^a_b (f(x)-g(x)}) \, dx\\; where a=0 and b=π/2

A=\int\limits^a_b (3-cos(x)){} \, dx

A=(3x-sin(x)) evaluated  0 ≤ x ≤ π/2

A=(3(π/2)-sin(π/2))-(3.0-sin(0))

A=3\frac{\pi }{2}-1

Find the 77th term of the arithmetic sequence 8, 26, 44, ...
Sindrei [870]

Answer: 1,376

Step-by-step explanation: All we need to do is take our explicit formula and plug in the information we need to know for the problem.

Explicit formula - a_{n} = a_{1} + (n - 1) d

We are trying to find the 77th term of this sequence so we first have a_{77}.

We know a_{1} is 8 because that's the first term in our arithmetic sequence.

The variable <em>n</em> represents the number of terms we're trying to solve for which is 77. So that will be 77 - 1 and then we are going to multiply that by our common difference which is 18.

So plugging into the formula, we have a_{77} = 8 + (77 - 1)18

So now we can go ahead and simplify this

information and see what we get.

So simplifying inside parentheses first, we get 76 and we multiply that by 18 to get 1,368.

So therefore we have a_{77} = 8 + 1,368 which is 1,376.

Rent-a-Bike supplies bikes to groups of people to cycle the countryside. They charge a daily rate of $150 for bikes for 20 peopl
7nadin3 [17]
Let y = daily rate

let x = number of people

let m = charge per person

let b = arbitrary cost

so, y=mx+b

150 = 20m + b

330 = 50m + b

30m = 180

m = 6

b = 30

so linear relationship : y = 6x+30

if x = 30

y = 180 + 30

y = 210
