H2A and BOH are acid and base and they react according to the following balanced equation: H2A(aq) + 2 BOH(aq) → B2A(aq) + 2 H2O

(l) If 0.20 moles of BOH reacted with excess amount of H2A solution and 1500. J of heat was released by the reaction, what is the ∆Hrxn for the reaction as written above?

Answer:

ΔH=15000 J  =  15KJ

Explanation:

In this exercise  you have find the enthalpy of reaction this is the difference between enthalpy of reactans and products,

For the following equation

H2A(aq) + 2 BOH(aq) → B2A(aq) + 2 H2O(l)

We know that 0.20 moles of BOH reacted with excess amount of H2A solution and 1500. J

so,

(2mol/0,2mol)*1500J=15000J

for de reactions exothermics tha enthalpy is negative so:

ΔH=15000 J  =  15KJ

If a barometer were built using ethanol () instead of mercury (), would the column of ethanol be higher than, lower than, or the
Semenov [28]

Answer:

The column of ethanol will be higher than the column of mercury.

Explanation:

The pressure (P) of a column of liquid can be calculated using the following expression.

P = ρ . g . h

where,

ρ: density of the liquid

g: gravity

h: height of the column

h = P / ρ . g

We can see that the height of the column is inversely proportional to the density of the liquid. The density of ethanol (0.789 g/mL) is lower than the density of mercury (13.6 g/mL). Then, under the same conditions, the column of ethanol will be higher than the column of mercury.

Given the equation:
svetoff [14.1K]

Answer:

4 moles of HCl will be required to produce 2 moles of H2.

Explanation:

A balanced chemical equation gives the stoichiometric ration of moles of reactants required to produce a certain number of moles of products. The ratio of moles of reactants to moles of products is known as the mole ratio and is constant for a given chemical reaction.

In the given balanced equation of reaction shown below:

Zn + 2HCl → ZnCl2 + H2

The mole ratio of HCl and H2 is 2:1. This means that in this reaction between Zinc metal and hydrochoric acid to produc zinc chloride and hydrogen gas, every two moles of hydrochloric acid used in the reaction will result in the production of one mole of hydrogen gas.

Therefore for two moles of H2 to be obtained from the reaction, twice the number of moles of HCl is required.

Moles of HCl required = 2 × 2 moles = 4 moles of HCl.

Hey,

A compound is a substance that is made of two or more type of atoms chemically bonded together.
So this means that they are joined together by a chemical reaction.
And of those options PF3 H2SO4 H2O And CO are compounds as you can see they are made of two different type of atoms

Hope this helps !!
