Answer:

Option (d)

The angular momentum of the system is 5 Kg-m²/s

Explanation:

Angular momentum: Angular momentum is the product of angular velocity and of moment of inertia.

Angular momentum is dented by L

And the unit of angular momentum is Kg-m²/s

L= I×ω

I is momentum of inertia

ω is angular velocity.

The unit of angular velocity  is red/s.

Momentum of inertia : Momentum of inertia is the sum  square the perpendicular distance from the rotational axis to of product mass of each particle of the body.

I=\sum Mr^2

The S.I unit of momentum of inertia is kg-m²

The angular momentum of a system is:

L= ∑I ω

  =∑ Mr²ω      [ Since I=\sum Mr^2]

Given , M= 1 kg,  r₁=1 m , r₂= 2 m and   ω = 1 rad/s.

The angular momentum of the system is

L= Mr₁²ω+Mr₂²ω

  = Mω(r₁²+r₂²)

 = {1×1 (1²+2²)}

=5 Kg-m²/s

: The maximum theoretical efficiency of a Carnot engine operating between reservoirs at the steam point and at room temperature
Hunter-Best [27]

Answer:

The value is   \eta  =  0.2145  or  21.45%

Explanation:

From the question we are told that

    The first reservoir is at steam point  T_s =  100^o C =  100 + 273 = 373 \ K

    The  second reservoir is at room temperature T_r  =  20^o C = 293 \ K

Generally the  maximum theoretical efficiency of a Carnot engine  is mathematically evaluated as

     \eta  =  1- \frac{T_r}{T_s}

=>    1 - \frac{ 293}{373}

=>    \eta  =  0.2145

Find the equivalent resistance.
frosja888 [35]

Answer:

18 Ω

Explanation:

As K and F are at the same voltage, we can redraw the diagram as in figure 2

Series resistances add directly, so we get figure 3

Adding parallel resistances gets us to figure 4

Now we can move two 6Ω resistances for clarification in figure 5

As the voltage between C and J will be identically split between D and H, there will be no voltage drop across the middle 6Ω resister and no current through it, identical to an infinite resistance, so that 6Ω can be eliminated as in figure 6

Add series resistances to get to figure 7

Add parallel resistances to get to figure 8

Add series resistances to get to figure 9

You are on a rollercoaster going around a curve. Your speed is a constant 40 miles per hour. Are you accelerating?
vodomira [7]
No, you are at a constant rate which means that you are always at 40mph
