A substance with a pH level of 8 has a lower level of Hydroxide (OH), not quite as basic as a pH of 12 but still basic and close to being almost neutral.
A substance with a pH of 12 has a high concentration of Hydroxide (OH) atoms, therefore, is much more basic than a pH of 8.

The chemical equation below shows the burning of magnesium (Mg) with oxygen (O2) to form magnesium oxide (MgO). 2Mg + O2 mc019-1
Nata [24]

The first step Niven has to do in his calculation is to Balanced the chemical equation. The answer is letter A. The key in the balancing of chemical reaction is to make sure that you got the exact chemical formula of the substance that is reacting and the yielded product. After getting the formula, identify first the hardest element/atom to be balanced such as Na, Zn, Cl, etc. Then proceed to the easier ones such as O, H. Make sure to not the atoms present in the molecule of the substance.

T he thermochemical equation for the reaction between hydrazine, N2H4, and dinitrogen tetroxide is given as: 2N2H4(2) N204 (1) 3
SpyIntel [72]

Answer:

4N2H4(2) + 2N204 (1) --> 6N2 (g) + 8H20 (g), AHO-2098 kJ

Explanation:

2N2H4(2) + N204 (1) --> 3N2 (g) + 4H20 (g),AHO-1049 kJ

when 6 mol of nitrogen are formed?

The ratio of Nitrogen in the previous therrmochemical equation to when 6 mol f nitrogen are formed is 2; 6/3 = 2.

So to get the new thermoochemical equation, multiply all parameters in the given equation by 2.

We have;

4N2H4(2) + 2N204 (1) --> 6N2 (g) + 8H20 (g), AHO-2098 kJ

What did you observe
when heat was added to the penny with iodine?
Andru [333]
This is a difficult task because zinc is much more active than copper and could hardly be passivated. ... The sur- face immediately turns white (the color of copper(I) iodide) and the yellow-brown color of iodine quickly fades. Rinse the coin with water, brighten it with polish and cloth and begin the whole process again.N

Problem PageQuestion A chemist makes of magnesium fluoride working solution by adding distilled water to of a stock solution of
igomit [66]

Answer:

5.37 × 10⁻⁴ mol/L

Explanation:

A chemist makes 660. mL of magnesium fluoride working solution by adding distilled water to 230. mL of a 0.00154 mol/L stock solution of magnesium fluoride in water. Calculate the concentration of the chemist's working solution. Round your answer to 3 significant digits.

Step 1: Given data

 • Initial concentration (C₁): 0.00154 mol/L
 • Initial volume (V₁): 230. mL
 • Final concentration (C₂): ?
 • Final volume (V₂): 660. mL

Step 2: Calculate the concentration of the final solution

We want to prepare a dilute solution from a concentrated one. We can calculate the concentration of the final solution using the dilution rule.

C₁ × V₁ = C₂ × V₂

C₂ = C₁ × V₁ / V₂

C₂ = 0.00154 mol/L × 230. mL / 660. mL = 5.37 × 10⁻⁴ mol/L
