Answer:

Electric field magnitude

E = K/qd

Where

K = kinetic energy of electron

d = electron distance

q = charge

Explanation:

Given the relationship between workdone and energy

Work-energy theorem:

Net workdone = Energy change

W = ∆E

In this case

W = ∆K.E

And,

∆K.E = K(final) - K(initial)

To stop the kinetic energy | K(final) = 0

K(initial) = K (given)

∆K.E = 0 - K = -K

Let the electric force on the electron has magnitude F.

And

W = -Fd = ∆K.E = -K

-Fd = -K

F = K/d .....1

The magnitude of the electric field E that can stop these electron in a distance d:

E = F/q ......2

Where q is the charge on electron.

substituting equation 1 to 2

E = (K/d)/q = K/qd

E = K/qd

Mariana [72]

The difference in the pressure between the inside and outside will be 369.36 N/m²

<h3>What is pressure?</h3>

The force applied perpendicular to the surface of an item per unit area across which that force is spread is known as pressure.

It is denoted by P. The pressure relative to the ambient pressure is known as gauge pressure.

The given data in the problem is;

dP is the change in the presure=?

Using Bernoulli's Theorem;

\rm  \rho\frac{V^2_{12}}{2} +P_1= \rho \frac{V^2_{22}}{2} +P_2 \\\\\ P_2-P_1=\rho \frac{v_2^2-v_1^2}{2} \\\\  P_2-P_1= 1.21 \times \frac{17.4^2-0}{2} \\\\  \triangle p=369.36 \ N/m^2

Hence, the difference in the pressure between the inside and outside will be 369.36 N/m²

A particle has a charge of -4.25 nC.
SpyIntel [72]

Answer:

-611.32 N/C

0.43723 m

Explanation:

k = Coulomb constant = 8.99\times 10^{9}\ Nm^2/C^2

q = Charge = -4.25 nC

r = Distance from particle = 0.25 m

Electric field is given by

E=\dfrac{kq}{r^2}\\\Rightarrow E=\dfrac{8.99\times 10^9\times -4.25\times 10^{-9}}{0.25^2}\\\Rightarrow E=-611.32\ N/C

The magnitude is 611.32 N/C

The electric field will point straight down as the sign is negative towards the particle.

E=\dfrac{kq}{r^2}\\\Rightarrow r=\sqrt{\dfrac{kq}{E}}\\\Rightarrow r=\sqrt{\dfrac{8.99\times 10^9\times 4.25\times 10^{-9}}{13}}\\\Rightarrow r=1.71436\ m

The distance from the electric field is 1.71436 m
