Answer:

Explanation:

a ) If the image of this object is viewed with the eyepiece adjusted for minimum eyestrain (image at the far point of the eye) , the image from object lens must have been formed at the focus of eye lens . So the objective image must have been formed at 19.5 - 2.75 = 16.75 cm from the object lens.

b ) Let the object distance be u

For object lens

v = 16.75 cm , f = .35 cm

1/v - 1/u = 1/f

1/16.75  - 1/u = 1/ .35

.0597 - 1/u = 2.857

1/u = - 2.7973

u = .3575 cm

c ) Angular magnification

= \frac{v_o}{u_o} \times\frac{D}{f_e}

v₀ and u₀ are image and object distance for object lens , D = 25 cm and f_e is focal length of eye lens

= (16.75 / .3575) x( 25 / 2.75)

= 46.85 x 9.09

= 426

A platinum sphere with radius 0.0199 m is totally immersed in mercury. Find the weight of the sphere, the buoyant force acting o
zepelin [54]

Answer:

Weight = 6.919 n

Buoyant force = 4.397 N

Apparent weight = 2.522 N

Explanation:

radius, r = 0.0199 m

density of platinum = 2.14 x 1064 kg/m^3

density of mercury = 1.36 x 1064 kg/m^3

Weight of sphere= volume of sphere x density of platinum x g

                            = 4/3 x 3.14 x (0.0199)^3 x 2.14 x 10^4 x 9.8 = 6.919 N

Buoyant force acting on sphere = Volume of sphere x density of mercury x g

                            = 4/3 x 3.14 x (0.0199)^3 x 1.36 x 10^4 x 9.8 = 4.397 N

Apparent weight = True weight - Buoyant force = 6.919 - 4.397 = 2.522 N

Calculate the wavelength of an orange light wave with a frequency of 5.085 x 10^14 Hz. The speed of light is 3.0 x 10^8 m/s.
Margarita [4]

Answer:

5.9 x 10⁻⁷m

Explanation:

Given parameters:

Frequency = 5.085 x 10¹⁴Hz

Speed of light  = 3.0 x 10⁸m/s

Unknown:

Wavelength of the orange light = ?

Solution:

The wavelength can be derived using the expression below;

            wavelength  = \frac{v}{f}

v is the speed of light

f is the frequency

            wavelength  = \frac{3 x 10^{8} }{5.085 x 10^{14} }   = 5.9 x 10⁻⁷m

A block of mass 500g is pulled from rest on ahorizontal frictionless bench by a steady force F and travels 8m in 2s find the acc
Korvikt [17]

We are Given:

Mass of the block (m) = 500 grams or 0.5 Kg

Initial velocity of the block (u) = 0 m/s

Distance travelled by the block (s) = 8 m

Time taken to cover 8 m (t)= 2 seconds

Acceleration of the block (a) = a m/s²

Solving for the acceleration:

From the seconds equation of motion:

s = ut + 1/2* (at²)

replacing the variables

8 = (0)(2) + 1/2(a)(2)²

8 = 2a

a = 4 m/s²

Therefore, the acceleration of the block is 4 m/s²

What is epsilon zero and why does it come into use, particularly in the case of Gauss's Law?
Paha777 [63]
Epsilon zero is permittivity of free space means how much air or vacuum permits electric field to travel from one charge to other.It is constant in the coulomb law. This allow Gauss's a lot easier to solve rather than using K
