<u>Answer</u>:

Length of the envelope = 14

Width of the envelope = 5.6

<u>Step-by-step explanation:</u>

Let the width of the rectangle be  x

Then the length of the rectangle will be 2\frac{1}{2} \times x

Also the length of the plastic band to cover the  front and back of the envolpe =  39\frac{3}{8}

To cover one side th band required is

=>\frac{39\frac{3}{8}}{2}

=>\frac{\frac{315}{8}}{2}

=>\frac{\frac{315}{8}}{2}

=>{\frac{315}{16}

=>39.4

We know that the perimeter of the rectangle is

=> 2( L + B) = {\frac{39.4}{2}

=> 2( 2\frac{1}{2} \times x + x) = 19.7

=> 2( \frac{7}{2}x) = 19.7

=>  3.5x = 19.7

=> x = \frac{19.7}{3.5}

=>  x = 5.6

Now length of the envelope =

=>  2\frac{1}{2} \times x

=>  2.5 \times 5.6

=> 14

Dan was getting rs. 100 for 5 years at an interest rate of 5%. Find the accumulated value of annuity at the end of 5 years
Citrus2011 [14]

The future value of the annuity after the end of 5 years is $552.56.

Given that, r =5%= 0.05, 5 years  = 5 yearly payments, so n = 5, and P = $100.

<h3>What is the annuity formula?</h3>

The formula to find the annuity formula FV=\frac{P \times ((1+r)^{n}-1 )}{r}.

Now, FV=\frac{100 \times ((1+0.05)^{5}-1 )}{0.05}

⇒FV = 100 × 55.256

⇒FV = $552.56

Therefore, the future value of the annuity after the end of 5 years is $552.56.

A card is drawn from a normal 52 card deck. The card number and sum are noted, the card is placed back in the deck, then another
Solnce55 [7]

Step-by-step explanation:

a) There are 4 Queens in a deck, so the probability the first card is a Queen is 4/52 = 1/13.

There are 4 10s in a deck, so the probability the second card is a 10 is 4/52 = 1/13.

The probability of both events is 1/13 × 1/13 = 1/169.

b) There is 1 Queen of Hearts in a deck, so the probability the first card is a Queen of Hearts is 1/52.

There are 4 8s in a deck, so the probability the second card is a 8 is 4/52 = 1/13.

The probability of both events is 1/52 × 1/13 = 1/676.

c) There are 4 Jacks in a deck, so the probability the first card is a Jack is 4/52 = 1/13.

There are 4 Jacks in a deck, so the probability the second card is a Jack is 4/52 = 1/13.

The probability of both events is 1/13 × 1/13 = 1/169.

d) There is 1 5 of Spades in a deck, so the probability the first card is a 5 of Spades is 1/52.

There is 1 Ace of Hearts in a deck, so the probability the first card is a Ace of Hearts is 1/52.

The probability of both events is 1/52 × 1/52 = 1/2704.
