Answer:

a) a = 0

b) W = 29.72 N

Explanation:

a)The acceleration of an object is defined as the change of its speed with respect to a time interval, Because the briefcase remains at rest, its acceleration (a) is zero.

a=0

b) Calculation of the weight of the briefcase

The formula to calculate the weight is the following:

W= m*g      Formula (1)

Where:

W : is the weight in Newtons (N)

m  : is the mass in kilograms (kg)

g   : is the acceleration due to gravity in meters over second square (m/s²)

Data

m=3.03 kg :  mass of the briefcase

m=9.81 m/s² : acceleration due to gravity

We replace data in the formula (1)

W= m*g = 3.03 kg * 9.81 m/s²

W= 29.72 N

Our eyes are typically 6 cm apart. Suppose you are somewhat unique, and yours are 9.50 cm apart. You see an object jump from sid
Serhud [2]

Answer: 12.67 cm, 8 cm

Explanation:

Given

Normal distance of separation of eyes, d(n) = 6 cm

Distance of separation is your eyes, d(y) = 9.5 cm

Angle created during the jump, θ = 0.75°

To solve this, we use the formula,

θ = d/r, where

θ = angle created during the jump

d = separation between the eyes

r = distance from the object

θ = d/r

0.75 = 9.5 / r

r = 9.5 / 0.75

r = 12.67 cm

θ = d/r

0.75 = 6 / r

r = 6 / 0.75

r = 8 cm

Thus, the object is 12.67 cm far away in your own "unique" eyes, and just 8 cm further away to the normal person eye

Two children are balanced on a seesaw that has a mass of 18.0 kg. The first child has a mass of 26.0 kg and sits 1.60 m from the
Mashcka [7]

Answer:

1.28 m

Explanation:

As shown in the diagram attached,

According to the principle of moment,

For a body at equilibrium,

Sum of clockwise moment = sum of anticlockwise moment.

Taking moment about the pivot,

W₁(1.6)+W(0.133) = W₂(x)............... Equation 1

Where W₁ = Weight of the first child, Wₓ = Weight of the seesaw, W₂ = weight of the second child, x = distance of the second child from the pivot.

But,

W = mg

Where g = 9.8 m/s², m = mass of the body

Therefore,

W₁ = 26×9.8 = 254.8 N,

Wₓ = 18×9.8 = 176.4 N

W₂ = 34.4×9.8 = 337.12 N

Substitute these values into equation 1

(254.8×1.6)+(176.4×0.133) = 337.12(x)

407.68+23.4612 = 337.12x

337.12x = 431.1412

x = 431.1412/337.12

x = 1.2789

x ≈ 1.28 m

Sí un auto viaja a 8m/s determine Tiempo en llegar a 200km de distancia Distancia que recorre en 40 minutos
GrogVix [38]

Answer:

a. Tiempo = 25000 segundos

b. Distancia = 19200 metros

Explanation:

Dados los siguientes datos;

Velocidad = 8 m/s

Distancia = 200 km a metros = 200 * 1000 = 200,000

Para encontrar el tiempo para cubrir la distancia anterior;

Tiempo = distancia/velocidad

Tiempo = 200000/8

Tiempo = 25000 segundos

b. Para encontrar la distancia recorrida en 40 minutos;

Tiempo = 40 minutos a segundos = 40 * 60 = 2400 segundos

Distancia = velocidad * tiempo

Distancia = 8 * 2400

Distancia = 19200 metros
