If 125mL of a 0.15M NaOH solution is diluted to 150mL, what will the new molarity of the solution be?
stiks02 [169]

Answer:

C NaOHsln = 0.125 M

Explanation:

Molarity (M) [=] mol/L

∴ moles NaOH = (0.125 L)(0.15 mol/L) = 0.01875 mol

∴ Vsln = 150 mL = 0.150 L

New Molarity:

⇒ C NaOH = 0.01875 mol/0.150 L

⇒ C NaOH = 0.125 M

How does evaporation work
Vlada [557]
Evaporation is part of the water cycle and is the process of a liquid becoming a gas or vapor.

For evaporation to work, there has to be some sort of heat from the surface. This heat is known as latent heat. Evaporating water removes surface heat. By removing the surface heat, it lowers the temperatures and water levels, whether it's on land or a body of water.

The only reason it doesn't build and stay in the atmosphere is because of condensation and precipitation.

Hope this helps!

When an atom that has no charge loses two electrons, it becomes a 1. positive ion. 2. negative ion. 3. positive isotope. 4. nega
ycow [4]

Answer;

1. positive ion

Explanation;

-An ion is formed when an atom gains or looses electrons. A positively charged ion (cation) is formed when an atom looses electrons and a negatively charged ion (anion) is formed when an atom gains electrons. Therefore, if an atom looses two electrons it forms a positively charged ion with a charge of +2.
