Demographic data is critical for the government to adjust society to the needs of the citizens. For example, demographic data tells the government how much funding is needed for communities, especially those of color, and those that are often overlooked. Additionaly, construction and infrastructure for the public good, such as playgrounds, schools, and bus stations, are built based on demographic data. Finally, health care and public safety is also determined based on demographic data. For example, a hospital wouldn't be built in a town of only a few people, but would more likely be built in a larger city. This is why demographic data plays a key role in allowing the government to provide for the common good of society.
