Answer:

Fundamental frequency of the air column is 128 Hz

Explanation:

The general relation to determine the nth- harmonic in column of air is:

f_{n} =nf_{1}

Here n is nth harmonic and f₁ is the fundamental frequency of the air column.

According to the problem, there are two consecutive harmonics, one of the order n and other is n+1. Thus, there frequencies are given by :

f_{n} =nf_{1}       .....(1)

f_{n+1} =(n+1)f_{1}      ....(2)

Subtract equation (2) and (1).

f_{n+1}-f_{n}  =f_{1}

Substitute 576 Hz for f_{n+1} and 448 Hz for f_{n} in the above equation.

(576 - 448 ) Hz = f₁

f₁ = 128 Hz

A force of 50 pounds is directed 30 from the horizontal, find the vector that represents this force.
bekas [8.4K]
I assume it is directed 30 degrees above the positive x-axis. F = 50 pounds F_x = 50 cos(30) pounds = 43.3 pounds F_y = 50 sin(30) = 25 pounds Let i and j be unit vectors along the x and y axes, respectively.  Then F = F_x i + F_y j = (43.3 i + 25 j) pounds

What is the speed or a softball that travel 20m in 2sec
Svetllana [295]
<h2>Greetings!</h2>

To find speed with distance and time, you need to remember the speed formula:

Speed = distance ÷ time

So we need speed and we have the other two values, we can plug the values in:

Speed = 20 ÷ 2 = 10

The measurement for speed in this case is m/s (metres per second)

<h3>So the answer is 10m/s</h3>

It took 3.5 hours for a train to travel the distance between two cities at a velocity 120 miles/hry. How many miles lie between
soldi70 [24.7K]
We know, v = d / t
Here, v = 120 miles/hour
t = 3.5 hour

Substitute their values,
120 = d / 3.5
d = 120 * 3.5
d = 420 miles

In short, Your Answer would be 420 miles

Hope this helps!
