nickels ($0.05): D + 14

dimes ($0.10): D

quarters ($0.25): Q

Quantity:  (D + 14) + D + Q = 102  ⇒   2D + 14 + Q = 102   ⇒  2D + Q = 88

Value: 0.05(D + 14) + 0.10(D) + 0.25(Q) = 13.60  ⇒  0.05D + 0.70 + 0.10D + 0.25Q = 13.60   ⇒  0.15D + 0.70 + 0.25Q = 13.60  ⇒  0.15D + 0.25Q = 12.90  ⇒ 15D + 25Q = 1290

2D  +     Q =    88  ⇒         -15(2D + Q = 88)   ⇒ -30D - 15Q = -1320

15D + 25Q = 1290 ⇒   2(15D + 25Q = 1290)  ⇒ 30D + 50Q = 2580

                                                                                        35Q = 1260

                                                                                         \frac{35Q}{35} = \frac{1260}{35}

                                                                                             Q = 36

Answer: 36 quarters

Use the Associative Property of Addition to write an expression equivalent to r+ (h+t). r+ (h+t) = Enter your answer in the answ
svlad2 [7]

Answer:

Associative propertry of addition.

Step-by-step explanation:

The associative property of addition states that:

a+(b+c) = (a+b)+c

It states that we can add numbers regardless of the groups. The sum does not change irrespective of how the addends are grouped.

We are given the expression:

r + (h + t)

It can be written as:

(r+h) + t

It can also be written as:

r + (h+t) = (r+t) + h = (h+t)+r = h + (t+r)

Whatever maybe the arrangement of r, h and t, their sum will always be equal. We can regroup them in many ways but the sum remains the same.

Stefan’s family rented a rototiller to prepare an area in their backyard for spring planting. The rental company charged an init
serg [7]

The hourly fee is $ 3. Step-by-step explanation: Given, The initial fee = $ 43, Let x be the additional hourly fee ( in dollars ), Thus, the total additional fee for 7 hours = 7x dollars, And, the total fee for 7 hours = Initial fee + Additional fee for 7 hours = ( 43 + 7x ) dollars, According to the question, 43 + 7x = 64 7x = 21      ( Subtracting 43 on both sides ) x = 3          ( Divide both sides by 7 ) Hence, the hourly fee is $ 3.
