<u>Answer:</u>

The equation using a fractional exponent \sqrt[3]{x^{2}} is x^{\frac{2}{3}}

<u>Solution:</u>

Given, term is cube root of x square

In numerical terms cube root of x square can be written as ⇒ cube root of x^{2} \rightarrow \sqrt[3]{x^{2}}

We have to write the expression for above given term in the form of fractional exponent of x.

In \sqrt[3]{x^{2}} , cube root is written in fractional form

\rightarrow\left(x^{2}\right)^{\frac{1}{3}}

Now, powers are multiplied

\rightarrow x^{2 \times \frac{1}{3}}

\rightarrow x^{\frac{2}{3}}

Finally x is in power of a fraction, so we got the required answer

Explain how to use estimation to help find the product of two decimals. Give an example with both estimated and actual answers.
shusha [124]
If you multiply decimals , the estimate value is necessary !

it could be understood easily, if at any place the number exceeds 4 , then the value in front is raised by one !

as;
2.234 = 2.23 , it will remain same but,
2.235 = 2.24 the 3 raised to 5 !!

if you have any problem yet , comment !!

A local school has 14 kindergarten teachers. Of these teachers, 4 are Hispanic, 5 are bilingual, and 3 are both Hispanic and bil
navik [9.2K]

Answer:

P(Hispanic or Bilingual) = 0.429.

Step-by-step explanation:

This question is solved treating these events as Venn probabilities.

I am going to say that:

Event A: Hispanic

Event B: Bilingual

Out of 14 teachers, 4 are Hispanic, 5 are billingual, and 3 are both:

This means that:

P(A) = \frac{4}{14}, P(B) = \frac{5}{14}, P(A \cap B) = \frac{3}{14}

What is the probability that teacher is Hispanic or bilingual?

This is:

P(A \cup B) = P(A) + P(B) - P(A \cap B)

With the values that the exercise gives us:

P(A \cup B) = \frac{4}{14} + \frac{5}{14} - \frac{3}{14} = \frac{4 + 5 - 3}{14} = \frac{6}{14} = 0.429

So

P(Hispanic or Bilingual) = 0.429.
