Answer:

A number line with an open circle on −2, a closed circle on 5, and shading in between

Step-by-step explanation:

solve it you get x>-2

and 3x <=15

x<=5

so its close on 5 and open on -2

If I round 160,656 to the nearest ten thousand
Snezhnost [94]
To round the number value of 160, 656 to the nearest then thousand, we first disband the value into its expanded form and identify the place order of the numbers. <span>1. 100, 000 = hundred thousand</span> <span>2.60, 000 = ten thousand</span> <span>3.600 = hundreds</span> <span>4.50 = tens</span> <span>5.6 = ones</span> Hence, the 60, 000 here is the value where the ten thousand is, this is where we shall round off the number. Therefore the value becomes, 160,000. Take note of 0-4 rounding rules.

Find the length of each side of the triangle determined by the three points P1,P2, and P3. State whether the triangle is an isos
Tanya [424]

Answer:

The triangle is both an Isosceles triangle and a right triangle.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given the vertices of a triangle.

$ P_{1} = (- 1, 4) $

$ P_{2} = (6, 2) $    and

$ P_{3} = (4, - 5) $

We find the distance between all the points to determine the length of each side of the triangle.

Distance between any two points, say, $ (x_1, y_1) $ and $ (x_2, y_2) $ is:

                                 $ \sqrt{\bigg ( \textbf{x}_{\textbf{2}} \hspace{1mm} \textbf{- x}_{\textbf{1}} \bigg )^{\textbf{2}} \textbf{+}   \bigg( \textbf{y}_{\textbf{2}} \hspace{1mm} \textbf{- y}_{\textbf{1}} \bigg)^ {\textbf{2}} $

Length between $ P_1 $ and $ P_{2} $ , (Side 1) :

$ (x_1, y_1) = (- 1, 4) $     and

$ (x_2, y_2) = (6, 2) $

Distance = $ \sqrt{\bigg(6 - (-1) \bigg)^{2} \hspace{1mm} + \hspace{1mm} \bigg( 2 - 4 \bigg )^2 $

$ = \sqrt{7^2 + 2^2} $

$ = \sqrt{49 + 4} $

$ = \sqrt{\textbf{53}} $

Length of Side 1 = $  \sqrt{\textbf{53}} $ units.

Distance between $ P_1 $ and P_2 , (Side 2):

$ (x_1, y_1) = (-1, 4) $

$ (x_2, y_2) = (4, - 5) $

Distance = $ \sqrt{ \bigg( 4 + 1 \bigg)^2 \hspace{1mm} + \bigg( - 5 - 4 \bigg ) ^2 $

$ = \sqrt{ 25 + 81 } $

$ = \sqrt{\textbf{106}} $

Length of Side 2 = $ \sqrt{\textbf{106}} $ units.

Distance between $ P_2 $ and $ P_3 $ , Side 3 :

$ (x_1, y_1) = (4, 5) $

$ (x_2, y_2) = (6, 2) $

Distance = $ \sqrt{ 2^2 \hspace{1mm} + \hspace{1mm} 7^2} $

$ = \sqrt{49 + 4} $

$ = \sqrt{\textbf{53} $

Length of Side 3  = $ \sqrt{\textbf{53}} $ units.

Note that the length of Side 1 = Length of Side 3.

That means the triangle is Isosceles.

Also, For a triangle to be right angle triangle, using Pythagoras theorem we have:

(Side 1)² + (Side 3)² = (Side 2)²

$ \bigg( \sqrt{53} \bigg )^2 \hspace{1mm} + \hspace{1mm} \bigg( \sqrt{53} \bigg)^2 \hspace{1mm} = \hspace{1mm} \bigg ( \sqrt{106} \bigg ) ^2 $

i.e, 53 + 53  = 106

Hence, the triangle is a right - angled triangle as well.

Which value could be part of the domain of a sequence as a function?
zysi [14]
B. Because a domain is the "x" value  and on a graph you would notice the the "x" are all positive numbers (to the left). Hope that made sense. A range is the "y" value and are negative numbers (to the right) on a graph just in case you would like to know that as well:)

5. Write down the nth term of each of the following G.Ps
yawa3891 [41]

Answer:

1i) nth term = 12(-b/4)^(n-1)

ii) nth term = 3(-1/9)^(n-1)

2i) Sixth term= (-3b^5)/256

ii) Eight term = -1/1594323

Question:

The complete question as found on brainly (question-10746111):

Write down the nth term of each of the following G.Ps whose first two terms are given as follows. Also find the term stated besides each G.P.

i) 12,-3b,......sixth term

ii) 3,-1/3,..........;8th term?

Step-by-step explanation:

1) To solve terms involving Geometric progressions (GPs), we would first state the variables that are to be incorporated in the formula.

i) 12,-3b,......;sixth term

1st term = a= 12

r = common ratio = 2nd term /1st term

r = -3b/12 = -b/4

Then we would find the nth term

See attachment for details

ii) 3,-1/3,..........;8th term

1st term = a= 3

r = common ratio = 2nd term /1st term

r = (-⅓)/3 = (-⅓)(⅓) = -1/9

Then we would find the nth term

See attachment for details

2) we are to determine the sixth term in (i) and eight term in (ii)

See attachment for details

Sixth term= (-3b^5)/256

Eight term = -1/1594323
