There is a method of doing this called unit analysis. It automatically sets up the question in such away that you multiply all the numerators together and divide by all the denominators multiplied together. It is very handy to know.

Notice how the cancellation takes place as you progress from left to right. You are given seconds to start with and that cancels at the end, so that you are only left with meters.

\dfrac{10 s}{1} * \dfrac{108 km}{1 hour} * \dfrac{1000 m }{1 km}*\dfrac{1 hour}{3600 s}

\text{numerator = 10 * 108 * 1000 = 1080000}\\ \\ \text{denominator = 1 * 1 * 1 *3600}

The distance traveled in 10 seconds = 1080000 / 3600 = 300 meters.

Answer: 300 meters

You could also do this question by proportions, which you will no doubt get as your second answer.

The Graph of a function g is shown below. Find the following: g(10)
Yanka [14]

Answer: the graph is not shown, but I'll try to explain how hypothetically, you would be able to graph g(10). If you are given something like an image of the graph, find slope and y-intercept first. The y-intercept is the point (0, #), and is on the y-axis. After finding what g(x) = mx + b <- slope intercept form is, substitute 10 for x, then solve.

If you want to be 95% confident of estimating the population mean to within a sampling error of plus or minus3 and the standard
Aleksandr [31]

Answer:

The sample size required is at least 171

Step-by-step explanation:

We have that to find our \alpha level, that is the subtraction of 1 by the confidence interval divided by 2. So:

\alpha = \frac{1-0.95}{2} = 0.025

Now, we have to find z in the Ztable as such z has a pvalue of 1-\alpha.

So it is z with a pvalue of 1-0.025 = 0.975, so z = 1.96

Now, find the margin of error M as such

M = z*\frac{\sigma}{\sqrt{n}}

In which \sigma is the standard deviation of the population and n is the size of the sample.

What sample size is required?

A samle size of at least n is required, in which n is found when M = 3, \sigma = 20

So

M = z*\frac{\sigma}{\sqrt{n}}

3 = 1.96*\frac{20}{\sqrt{n}}

3\sqrt{n} = 20*1.96

\sqrt{n} = \frac{20*1.96}{3}

(\sqrt{n})^{2} = (\frac{20*1.96}{3})^{2}

n = 170.7

PIT_PIT [208]

Answer:

b. 30 ft³

Step-by-step explanation:

5 × 8 is the volume of one side.
