The mass of density bottle of volume 50cm3 is 10g when empty. Aluminium turnings are poured into the bottle and the total mass i

s 60g. Water is then added into the turnings till the bottle is full. If the total mass of the bottle and its contents is 90g, calculate the density of the aluminium turnings.

  • Total mass of the bottle = 90gm.

  • Total Volume of the bottle = 50cm3

Total density = T. mass / T. Volume.

= 90/ 50

= 1.8 gm/ cm3

Now,

Mass of Water = 90 - 60

= 30 gm.

  • Volume = 50cm3

Density = Mass/ Volume

= 30/ 50

= 0.6 gm /cm3

Now,

Density of Aluminium = 1.8 - 06

= 1.2 gm/ cm^3

A 1,500.0 kg car hits a brick wall with a force of 60.0 N in 1.75 seconds. What is the change in the momentum of the car?
mel-nik [20]

105 kg m/s

Explanation:

The change in momentum of the car is equal to the impulse, which is equal to the product between the force applied and the time of the collision:

\Delta p= F \Delta t

in this case, the force applied is F=60.0 N, while the time of the collision is \Delta t=1.75 s, so the change in momentum of the car is

\Delta p=(60.0 N)(1.75 s)=105 kg m/s

Calculate the energy released as heat when 51.60 g Cu 2 O ( s ) undergo oxidation at constant pressure.
lesya692 [45]

Answer:

Energy released as heat will be -189.417 Kj

Explanation:

The oxidation is the type of reaction in which reaction occurs in the presence of oxygen. The exothermic reaction is the type of reaction in which heat is released. The enthalpy is the type of physical quantity that is used to measure the energy in the thermodynamic system.

As we know the molar mass of Copper II Oxide is 79.545 g

Also the oxidation of  copper(II) oxide, CuO(s), is an exothermic process, 2Cu2O (s) + O2-->4CuO (s) delta H reaction= -292.0 kj/mol.

So for 51.60g of Copper II Oxide,

Heat released will be (-292.0 * 51.60/79.545) = -189.417 Kj

Why are clockwise and counterclockwise referred to as “senses,” rather than directions?
Y_Kistochka [10]

Clockwise and counter-clockwise is considered as a sense rather than a direction because it is only a view point where its movement of direction is always changing. Moreover, it is assumed as a tangential velocity of different points on the same body that is spinning in all directions and do not describe the motion of an object. The term can only be applied to object-observer system and not particularly for a direction.
