4 0

7x - 4y = -28

3x +4y = -12

Using the elimination method because y is already eliminated

10x = -40

So x = -4

Then plug the -4 into the first equation....

7(-4) - 4y = -28

-28 - 4y = -28

-4y = 0

y = 0

I got:  -4,0

A steep mountain is inclined 74 degree to the horizontal and rises to a height of 3400 ft above the surrounding plain. A cable c
8_murik_8 [283]

Answer:

3854ft

Step-by-step explanation:

By assuming that the cable is not doubled.

in order to find the length of the base of the mountain

tan74°=3400/x

x= 3400/tan74°

x≈ 975ft

Therefore, the length of the cable equals to

            =\sqrt{3400^2+(975 + 840)^2}

length≈ 3854ft

Thus, the shortest length of cable needed is 3854ft

(The answer I have marked was random) Please tell me the answer and explain. Thanks.
Rainbow [258]
Formula for probability
\frac{given \: number}{total \: number}  \times 100
Theorically probability will be equal for all cases, that means each case will have a 25% chance
Now we will find the probability experimentally
Given number = 28
Total number = 100
28/100 × 100 = 28%

Since Theorically it is 25 and experimentally it is 28, The experimental probability is 3 % higher
Therefore the answer is the first option (the one u marked randomly)

A store owner was buying uniforms for his employees. If each of his stores needed 79 uniforms and he had 64 stores which express
seraphim [82]

Answer:

C)  The total number of  about uniforms needed is  60 x 80 uniforms.

Step-by-step explanation:

The Number of total stores the owner has = 64 stores

The number of employees uniform needed in 1 store  = 79 uniforms

Now, 64 is Rounded off to about 60.

and 79  is Rounded off to about 80.

⇒ The total number of uniforms in 60 stores = 60 x ( uniform in 1 store)

= 60 x  (80 uniforms)

or, the expression of total uniforms needed = 60 x  (80 uniforms)

Hence, the total number of  about uniforms needed is 60 x 80 uniforms.

If the measure of complementary angles are (2x+3)° and x°. Find the measure of x
lys-0071 [83]
<h3>Answer: x = 29</h3>

========================================================

Work Shown:

A = 2x+3

B = x

angles A and B are complementary, so they add to 90 degrees

A+B = 90

(2x+3)+(x) = 90

2x+3+x = 90

2x+x+3 = 90

3x+3 = 90

3x+3-3 = 90-3

3x = 87

3x/3 = 87/3

x = 29

Extra info:

2x+3 = 2(29)+3 = 58+3 = 61

Note that 29 and 61 add to 29+61 = 90
