Explanation:
She has 18 and uses half, 18/2=9
So now she has 9 eggs left, she uses one third, 9/3=3 (3 eggs is one third)
Now she only has six eggs left, she used half of those six to make dinner 6/2=3
She now has 3 eggs remaining.
