Two round concentric metal wires lie on a tabletop, one inside the other. The inner wire has a diameter of 23.0 and carries a cl

ockwise current of 20.0 , as viewed from above, and the outer wire has a diameter of 38.0. What must be the direction (as viewed from above) of the current in the outer wire so that the net magnetic field due to this combination of wires is zero at the common center of the wires? What must be the magnitude of the current in the outer wire so that the net magnetic field due to this combination of wires is zero at the common center of the wires?

Answer:

I = 33.04A

Explanation:

The magnetic field at the center of a loop of wire is proportional to the current flowing through the wire and inversely proportional to the radius

So therefore we have:

20/23 = I/38.0

We then solve for I

cross multiplying we have 20 x 38 = 23 x I

I = 20 x 38/ 23

I = 33.04A

You and your family are traveling to daytona beach for a vacation and your dad wants to get there in 7 hours. If daytona is 725
ollegr [7]

Answer:

103.57 Km/h

Explanation:

From the question given above, the following data were obtained:

Distance = 725 Km

Time = 7 hours

Speed =?

Speed can be defined as the distance travelled per unit time. Mathematically, it is expressed as:

Speed = Distance /time

With the above formula, we can calculate how fast he will drive (i.e the speed) in order to get there on time. This is illustrated below:

Distance = 725 Km

Time = 7 hours

Speed =?

Speed = Distance /time

Speed = 725 / 7

Speed = 103.57 Km/h

Thus, to get there on time, he will drive with a speed of 103.57 Km/h

A point charge of 9.00 × 10−9 C is located at the origin of a coordinate system. A positive charge of 3.00 × 10−9 C is brought i
dlinn [17]

A point charge is located at the origin of a coordinate system. A positive charge is brought in from infinity to a point. The charges are at distance for given electrical potential energy is 3.34 x 10⁷ m.

What is electric potential energy?

The electric potential energy is the work done by a test charge to bring it from infinity to a particular location.

The electric potential energy is given by the relation,

V = kQ/r

where k = 9 x 10⁹ J.m/C ,Q = 3 x 10⁻⁹ C, V =8.09 × 10⁻⁷ J.

Substitute the values into the expression to get the distance between the charges.

8.09 × 10⁻⁷ = 9 x 10⁹ x 3 x 10⁻⁹ / r

r =3.34 x 10⁷ m

Thus, the distance between the charges will be 3.34 x 10⁷ m.
