Answer:

0.6

Step-by-step explanation:

In this question, the | symbol means "given", so we can phrase the question as "Find the probability that a student watches more than one hour of TV given that they are in the 6th period class"

Next, because there is a 100% chance that the student is in the 6th period class, we can disregard the results of the 3rd period class.

Given that the student is in the 6th period class, there are 15 total students (as 9+6=15 = the sum of the yes and no answers for 6th period) and 9 students that said yes. Therefore, there is a 9/15 = 3/5 = 0.6 probability that a student watches more than 1 hour of TV given that they are in the 6th period class

May u please help me ill give out the brainly
Eddi Din [679]

Answer:

The answer is B.

Step-by-step explanation:

In order to solve this problem, you need to combine like terms, which in this case, are the x's. So, if you add the numbers with the x's together, you get 3x + 12y. The 12y remains untouched because there are no other terms with the same variable.

Hope this helped,

Philip

Brainliest always appreciated! <3

A local hamburger shop sold a combined total of 578 hamburgers and cheeseburgers on Tuesday. There were 72 fewer cheeseburgers s
andreev551 [17]
Let h be hamburgers and c be cheeseburgers.
We know that h + c = 578
We also know that c + 72 = h
This gives us a system of equations we can solve. My preferred method to solve systems is substitution, where we solve one equation for one of the variables, then substitute that solution in the other equation, reducing it to a single variable equation. One of the equations already equals h, so we can go straight into the sub part.
h + c = 578
(c + 72) + c = 578
c2 = 506
c = 253
Finally, we go back to the other equation and solve for h.
c + 72 = h
253 + 72 = h
325 = h
So, total there were 253 cheeseburgers sold, and 325 hamburgers sold.
