What is the difference between a spring tide and a neap tide

Answer:

Spring tide is a tide with largest difference between the high and tide and the low tide on the earth on a solar day.

Neap tide is the tide with the least difference between the high and low tides on the earth in a solar day.

Explanation: Tide is the rise or fall in the level of water bodies which is easily detectable on the shore of the water bodies. This rise and fall is caused by the gravitational pull of the moon and sun in resultant.

Gravitational force between the 2 masses is mathematically given as:

F=\frac{G. M_1.M_2}{r^2}

where:

 • G= gravitational constant =6.67 \times 10^{-11} N.m^2.kg^{-2}
 • M_1=mass of body 1
 • M_2= mass of body 2
 • r= distance between the center of the masses.

The water on the earth acts as a membrane sue to the gravity of earth and its own surface tension.

During spring tide the earth, the moon and the sun are in a starlight line developing a greater net force on the earth due to which the membrane of the water present on the earth gets stretched by the maximum force in such condition when it is a new moon day or a full moon day.

During Neap tide the moon, and the sun are at right angles with respect to the earth developing a lesser net force on the earth due to which the membrane of the water present on the earth gets a lesser pull by the force components in such condition when it is a first quarter moon or a third quarter moon .

How much would you have to shrink a baseball to a black hole?
Vesna [10]

The Schwarzchild radius is . . . R = 2GM/c² .

Just like you, I'm not completely sure what that means. But it DOES use the mass of a black hole to calculate a radius associated with it, so with 15 Brainly points at stake, it seems like a good-enough formula to use for an answer.

Before I proceed, I really should ask you whether you're talking a softball or a hardball, but again . . . . .

So R = 2GM/c²

G = the gravitational constant = 6.67 x 10⁻¹¹ N-m²/kg²

M = mass of the baseball = 145 grams = 0.145 kg

c = speed of light = 3 x 10⁸ m/s

R = 2 (6.67 x 10⁻¹¹ m³/kg-s²) (0.145 kg) / (3 x 10⁸ m/s)²

R = (2 x 6.67 x 10⁻¹¹ x 0.145 / 9 x 10¹⁶) (m³-kg-s² / kg-s²-m²)

R = ( 1.9343 x 10⁻¹¹ / 9 x 10¹⁶) (m³-kg-s²/m²-kg-s²)

R = (0.2149 x 10⁻²⁷) meter

R = 2.149 x 10⁻²⁸ meter

For reference: The radius of a Hydrogen atom is 1.2 x 10⁻¹⁰ meter.

So in order to make a black hole out of a baseball, you have to crunch the baseball down to around 0.000000000000000001791 the size of a Hydrogen atom.

Would that be a problem for you ?

A chain reaction results when a uranium atom is struck by a/an ______________released by a nearby Uranium atom undergoing fissio
finlep [7]

Answer:

Chain reaction is possible by neutron

Explanation:

Nuclear reaction is mainly two types,

⇒ Nuclear Fission : heavy atom split into two light atom.

Ex. Uranium, thorium

⇒ Nuclear fusion : lighter atom combine together

Ex. Hydrogen to helium

In fusion reaction the large amount of energy is produced as compare to fission reaction.

Sun gets brighter by fusion reaction.

In case of uranium fission reaction is possible by colliding neutron.

which best describes the big bang theory ? A. matter was compressed into a single point and then exploded outward to form the un
Furkat [3]

Answer:

A. matter was compressed into a single point and then exploded outward to form the universe

Explanation:

The big bang is how astronomers explain the way the universe began. It is the idea that the universe began as just a single point, then expanded and stretched to grow as large as it is right now (and it could still be stretching).
