I think it's B, that's the only case where something is moving. I'm actually doing the quiz right now lol

Crystallization of solids
Deffense [45]

Answer:

A separation technique to separate solids from a solution. Crystallization can be defined as the process through which the atoms/molecules of a substance arrange themselves in a well-defined three-dimensional lattice and consequently, minimize the overall energy of the system.

Which circuit offers the greater resistance to the battery, two bulbs in series or two bulbs in parallel?
dolphi86 [110]

The resistance of two things in series is the SUM of their individual resistances.  So the resistance of two bulbs in series is <u><em>double</em></u> the resistance of one bulb.

(If they're in parallel, their combined resistance is <u><em>1/2</em></u> the resistance of one bulb.)

So two bulbs <em>in series</em> is the greater resistance. <em>(a) </em>

PLEASE HELP!! Newtons first law states that if an objects velocity is changing a __________ must be acting on it. Question 1 opt
Anika [276]

Newtons first law states that if an objects velocity is changing a <u>force</u> must be acting on it.

Explanation:

Newton's first law of motion states that:

"An object at rest (or in uniform motion) will remain at rest (or will continue moving with the same velocity) unless acted upon an unbalanced force"

We can apply this law to a daily life example:

  • Take a book at rest on a table: the forces acting on the book are balanced. If we do not apply any other force, we know that the book will remain at rest: this is exactly what is summarized in Newton's first law.
  • Take a space probe moving in the interstellar space, very far from any planet or source of gravitational force. Since there are no forces acting on the proble, the probe will continue moving at the same velocity (same speed and same direction) forever, unless stopped by a new force acting on it.

This means that in order to put an object at rest in motion, or to stop an object already in motion, or to change its velocity, an unbalanced force needs to be applied: otherwise, the object will continue having the same velocity (which can be either zero or non-zero), so it will continue having  same speed and same direction.

Vector A has magnitude 8.00 mm and is in the xy-plane at an angle of 127∘ counterclockwise from the +x–axis (37∘ past the +y-axi
Ilia_Sergeevich [38]

Answer:

-75.35°

Explanation:

Let C be the sum of the two vectors A and B. Hence, we can write the following

A_{x} +B_{x} =C_{x} ......(1)\\A_{y} +B_{y} =C_{y} ......(2)

but since the vector C is in the -y direction, C_{x}  = 0 and C_{y} = —12 m.

Thus

B_{x} =-A_{x} =-[-Acos(180-127)]=(8)*cos(53)\\B_{x} =4.81m

similarly, we can determine B_{y} by rearranging equation (1)

 B_{y} =C_{y} -A_{y} =-12m-[(8)*sin(53)\\B_{y} =-18.4m

so the magnitude of B is

B=\sqrt{B_{x}^2+B_{y}^2  } \\B=19m

Finally, the direction of B can be calculated as follows

Ф=tan^{-1} (\frac{B_{y} }{B_{x} } )\\=-75.35

hence the vector B makes an angle of 75.35 clockwise with + x axis
