Answer:

D

Explanation:

The amount of energy released or absorbed is equal the product of the mass, the specific heat capacity and the temperature change. The temperature change being the difference between the final and initial temperature.

Q = mc∆T

Q = heat energy (Joules, J) m = mass of a substance (kg) c = specific heat (units J/g∙K)

∆ is a symbol meaning "the change in" ∆T = change in temperature (Kelvins, K)

From the data provided in the question, we can deduce that:

Q = 16.7KJ = 16,700J

m = 225g

c = 1.74J/g.k

For the temperature, let the final temperature be f. This means our ∆T = f - 20

16,700 = 225 * 1.74 * (f - 20)

16700 = 391.5 (f - 20)

f - 20 = 16700/391.5

f - 20 = 42.7

f = 20 + 42.7 = 62.7

Hence the final temperature is 62.7 degrees Celsius

Which advantage of subdividing science into different areas ?
MakcuM [25]

Answer:a successful classification or division implies the presence of the object  own of each science and its relations with other related areas, the method or  requirement of each science to face its object, and also its purpose for  which poduce the fact of investigation.

Explanation:

Science is divided into numerous areas, each of which has as its object only a part of all the knowledge acquired, through experience and research.

The primary objective of science, is to improve the quality of life of humans, also helps solve everyday questions.

Science can be subdivided according to its object, its method, others by its  affinity, complexity and dependence, however all classification tends to seek  the links or relationships between the different disciplines or forms of  knowledge, thus a successful classification or division implies the presence of the object  own of each science and its relations with other related areas, the method or  requirement of each science to face its object, and also its purpose for  which poduce the fact of investigation.

Can someone please look at this?
Alex Ar [27]

Answer:

\large \boxed{\text{110 mmHg}}}

Explanation:

We can use Dalton's Law of Partial Pressures:

Each gas in a mixture of gases exerts its pressure separately from the other gases.

In other words, if a gas makes up 3.0 % of the atmosphere, its partial pressure is 3.0 % of the total pressure.

p_{\text{N}_{2}} = p_{\text{tot}} \times \dfrac{\text{3.0 parts N}_{2}}{\text{100 parts atmosphere}}= \text{3700 mmHg} \times \dfrac{\text{3.0 mmHg}}{\text{100 mmHg}} = \textbf{110 mmHg}\\\\p_{\text{N}_{2}} = \large \boxed{\textbf{110 mmHg}}
