In this lab you will use a cart and track to explore various aspects of motion. You will measure and record the time it takes th
Keith_Richards [23]

It is given that by using track and cart we can record the time and the distance travelled and also the speed of the cart can be recorded. With all this data we can solve questions on the laws of motion.

Like using the first law of motion we can determine the force of gravity acting on the cart that has moved a certain distance and the velocity or the speed of card has already been registered and since time is known putting the values in formula would help us calculate the gravitational pull acting on cart.

Nikitich [7]

Answer:

x=\frac {kd^{2}}{2(mgsin\theta +\mu_{k}mgcos\theta)}

Explanation:

From the law of conservation of energy

Energy lost  by the spring, W=Kinetic energy gained, KE+Potential energy gained, PE+Work done by friction, Fr

0.5kd^{2}=0.5mv^{2}+mgLsin\theta+\mu_{k}mgcos\theta x

x(mgsin\theta+\mu_{k}mgcos\theta)=0.5kd^{2}

x=\frac {kd^{2}}{2(mgsin\theta +\mu_{k}mgcos\theta)}

The required distance from A to B is x=\frac {kd^{2}}{2(mgsin\theta +\mu_{k}mgcos\theta)}

The diffusion rate for a solute is 4.0 x 10^-11 kg/s in a solvent- filled channel that has a cross-sectional area of 0.50 cm^2 a
zlopas [31]

Answer:

s = 9.6\times 10^{-12}kg/s

Explanation:

Given:

Solute Diffusion rate  = 4.0 × 10⁻¹¹ kg/s

Area of cross-section = 0.50 cm²

Length of channel  =0.25 cm

Now for the new channel

Area of cross-section = 0.30 cm²

Length of channel  =0.10 cm

let the Solute Diffusion rate  of new channel = s

now equating the diffusion rate per unit volume for both the channels

\frac{4\times 10^{-11}}{0.50\times 0.25}=\frac{s}{0.30\times 0.10}

thus,

s = 9.6\times 10^{-12}kg/s
