Newton's second law says any net force on an object results in acceleration, F=ma. So anything not accelerating has no net force. Consider compressing a spring with your hands and holding it still. You push on the spring to hold it out of its natural position (out of equilibrium) but it is not accelerating so the net force is zero. It's pushing back on you with the same force as you are pushing on it.

Aluminum has a coefficient of linear expansion of 2.4x10^-5 C^-1 and a coefficient of volume expansion of 7.2x10^-5 C^-1. An alu
Alla [95]

Answer:

New length = 10.2 m

Explanation:

Let ΔL  = change in length

ΔT = change in the temperature

     L(0) = intial length

α = coeffient of linear expansion

Then

ΔL = αL(0)ΔT

    =(2.4×10^-5)(10)(100-20)

    =0.0192 m

New length = L(0) + ΔL

                   = 10 + 0.0192

                   = 10.2 m

How could you increase the kinetic thermal energy of a liquid
Xelga [282]
Answer: heat

Explanation: An increase in the temperature of a liquid causes an increase in the average speed of its molecules. As the temperature of a liquid increases, the molecules move faster thereby increasing the liquids kinetic energy.
