Molarity can be defined as the number of moles in a volume of 1 L.
amount of HCl moles in 1000 mL - 0.95
Amount of HCl moles in 1 mL - 0.95/1000
Therefore HCl moles in 172 mL - 0.95/1000 x 172
Amount of HCl - 0.16 mol
