Answer:

Because there is a different medium between water & air, the light, when passing from one medium to another, usually gets refracted. In the case of light passing from air to water, the water would seem to bend the light.

Which contain a common ion that will shift the equilibrium system represented by the equation shown? Select all that apply. MgSO
inn [45]

The compounds in the reaction that shifts the equilibrium with the common ion effect are \rm MgSO_2\;and\;HNO_3.

<h3>What is the common ion effect?</h3>

The equilibrium condition has an equal amount of reactant and products in the reaction.

The addition of ions same as product or reactant results in a change in the equilibrium of condition and shifts the equilibrium in opposite direction.

The given reaction is:

\rm H_2SO_4\;\rightleftharpoons 2H^+\;+\;SO_4^{2-}

The addition of sulfate and hydrogen ions shifts the equilibrium.

Thus, the compounds that shift the equilibrium for the reaction are \rm MgSO_2\;and\;HNO_3.

1) we can calculate the molecular weight of H₃PO₄
atomic mass  (H)=1 amu
atomic mass (P)=31 amu
atomic mass (O)=16 amu

molecular weight (H₃PO₄)=3(1)+31+4(16)=98 amu.

1 mol (H₃PO₄)=98 g
1 mol= 6.022 * 10²³ molecules.

2) we calculate the mass of 4.00*10²³ molecules.

98 g-------------------6.022*10²³ molecules
x------------------------4.00*10²³ molecules

x=(98 g * 4.00*10²³ molecules) / 6.022*10²³ molecules≈65 g

Answer: 65 g

In the first law of thermodynamics, Δ e=q-w what does q stand for
VLD [36.1K]
Answer:
the heat exchange between the system and the surrounding medium

Explanation:
The first law of thermodynamics states that: "Energy can neither be created nor destroyed, but can convert from one form to another"
It is represented mathematically as:
<span>Δ e=q-w
where:</span>
<span>Δ e is the total change in the system's internal energy
q is </span><span>the heat exchange between the system and the surrounding medium
w is the work done either on the system or by the system

Hope this helps :)
