If you traveled one mile at a speed of 100 miles per hour, and another mile at a speed of 1 mile per hour, your average speed wo

uld not be (100 mph+1mph)/2 or 50.5 mph. What would be your average speed? (Hint: What is the total distance and total time?)
Okay so.. How would I set up this problem and solve properly? Maybe it's just me, but the way this is worded is throwing me off. Any help is greatly appreciated! <3

Answer:

The average speed is 1.98 mile per hour.

Explanation:

you traveled one mile at a speed of 100 miles per hour

So, the distance travelled by you is 1 mile

The speed is given by,

Speed = distance/ time

time = distance / speed

time = 1 / 100

time = 0.01 hour

Now next mile you travel at speed 1 mile per hour.

The speed is given by,

Speed = distance/ time

time = distance / speed

time = 1 / 1

time = 1 hour

Total distance = 1 mile + 1 mile = 2 mile

Total time = 1 hour + 0.01 hour = 1.01 hour

Average speed is given by,

Average speed = \frac{total distance}{total time}

Average speed = \frac{2}{1.01}

Average speed = 1.98 mile per hour

The average speed is 1.98 mile per hour.

Komok [63]

Answer:

∈=3.1584x10^{26} \frac{V}{m}

Explanation:

Using the Gauss Law to determine the electric field of the net flux at the surface of the nucleus

∈=\frac{P}{E_{o}}

The P is the charge density and 'Eo' is the constant of permittivity in free space

to find P

P=\frac{q}{V}

V=\frac{4}{3}*\pi*r^3

V=\frac{4}{3}\pi*(7x10^{-15})^3

V=2.932x10^{-14} m^3

P=\frac{82C}{2.932x10^{-14}m^3}=2.7965x10^{15} \frac{C}{m^3}

So replacing

∈=\frac{2.7965x10^{15}\frac{C}{m^3}}{8.8542x10^{-12}\frac{C^2}{N*m^2}}

∈=3.1584x10^{26} \frac{V}{m}

a disk of a radius 50 cm rotates at a constant rate of 100 rpm. what distance in meters will a point on the outside rim travel d
vlabodo [156]

Answer: 50π m ≈ 157 m

Explanation:

100 rev/min (2π rad/rev) / (60 sec/min) = 3⅓π rad/s

d = ωrt = 3⅓π(0.50)(30) = 50π m ≈ 157 m

The _____ of a wave is the number of wave cycles per second. this quantity is given the symbol ν and has units of s–1 or _____.
Fynjy0 [20]

The frequency of a wave is the number of wave cycles per second. this quantity is given the symbol ν and has units of s^–1 or hertz.

What is a wave ?

A wave is a dynamic disturbance of one or more quantities that propagates through time. When waves oscillate frequently around an equilibrium value at a certain frequency, they are said to be periodic.

What is a wave cycle ?

The wavelength is the measured distance in meters between two waves' peaks or troughs, which is referred to as a wave cycle. It's crucial to remember that the distance from peak to peak equals the distance from trough to trough. The length of time it takes a wave to complete one cycle is known as the wave's period.
