Identify the steps of the phosphorus cycle?
miv72 [106K]
Over time, rain and weathering causes rocks to release phosphate ions and other materials. This inorganic phosphate is then distributed into the soil and water. plants take up inorganic phosphate from the soil. the plants may then be consumed by animals. Once in the plants or animal, the phosphate is incorporated into organic materials that break down organic matter to inorganic forms of phosphate. this process is known as mineralisation. Phosphate in soil can end up in waterways and eventually oceans. once there, It can be incorporated into sediments over time.

Which of the following describes how kidneys remove nitrogenous waste from the blood
photoshop1234 [79]
The correct answer is they filter urea from blood and produce urine.

Nitrogenous wastes tend to form toxic ammonia which needs to be removed. Terrestrial animals must detoxify ammonia by converting it into a relatively nontoxic molecule-urea (it occurs in the urea cycle). The urea cycle mainly occurs in the liver and the produced urea is then released into the blood. It travels to the kidneys where is filtrated and excreted in urine.

Why aren't organisms on the seafloor crushed by water pressure?
fiasKO [112]

Answer: The deep-sea organisms found today have undergone evolution in the past and are very complex now because their body structure also varies from that of the organisms that are present at a lower depth.

The bodies of these organism does not contain any air cavities in which the pressure could exert. It is because of this, the organism are quite solid without any air in their bodies, thereby they can withstand extreme high pressure.
