As the wavelength increases, the frequency? A. decreases and energy decreases B. increases and energy increases C. decreases and
const2013 [10]

For the same wave, the product product of

               (wavelength) times (frequency)

is always the same number. (It happens to be the speed of the wave.)

So if one of them changes, the other one has to change in the opposite
direction, in order to keep their product constant.

For electromagnetic waves, higher frequency means higher energy.
I'm not sure about mechanical waves just now.

What is the amount of charge a capacitor can store per volt of potential difference?
sladkih [1.3K]

The amount of charge a capacitor can store per volt of potential difference is called the capacitance of the capacitor.

What is the capacitance?

The capacitance has to do with the amount of charge that is stored by a capacitor. We know that a capacitor is a device that can be used to store electric charges. We have in it, two capacitors separated by a dielectric material.

Hence, the amount of charge a capacitor can store per volt of potential difference is called the capacitance of the capacitor.

you stretch a spring by a distance of 0.3 m. the spring has a spring constant of 440 n/m. when you release the spring, it snaps
Alina [70]

Answer:

19.8 J

Explanation:

According to the law of conservation of energy, the total mechanical energy of the spring (sum of kinetic energy and elastic potential energy) must be conserved:

K_i + U_i = K_f + U_f (1)

where we have

K_i is the initial kinetic energy of the spring, which is zero because the spring starts from rest (2)

U_i is the elastic potential energy of the spring when it is fully stretched

K_f is the kinetic energy of the spring when it reaches the natural length

U_f is the elastic potential energy of the spring when it reaches its natural length, which is zero because the stretch in this case is zero (3)

So

U_i = \frac{1}{2}k(\Delta x_i)^2

where

k = 440 N/m is the spring constant

\Delta x_i = 0.3 m is the initial stretching of the spring

Substituting,

U_i = \frac{1}{2}(440)(0.3)^2=19.8 J

And so using eq.(1) and keeping in mind (2) and (3) we find

K_f= U_i = 19.8 J

Which of these is exhibiting kinetic energy?
Alenkasestr [34]

Answer:

A.a space station orbiting Earth

Explanation:

As we know that kinetic energy given as

K.E.=1/2 m v²

Where m= mass

v= velocity

If the velocity of the object is zero then it posses zero kinetic energy.

We also know that when object at a height from the ground or from a reference line then it posses potential energy and it does not have kinetic energy because object is in rest position.

In the option B and C system is in rest position that is why these type of system posses zero kinetic energy.

So the answer is A.

A.a space station orbiting Earth
